Having been a Megadeth fan for about 20 years, I tend to grade on a curve. Even so, this show was spectacular for a few reasons. One, the guitar playing was jaw-dropping as usual. Two, the set list was a good mix of old and new (although a tad more old). And three, getting to see the show at a more intimate venue was an absolute thrill - since I've only seem them at arenas and outdoor venues before. The lighting was visually stunning, but not overbearing and everyone had great stage presence. It was not a flawless performance. It took a couple songs to dial in the sound, and vocally Dave was not as strong as I'm used to seeing. But, this was the first stop on the tour - tis okay! Could have done without "sweating bullets" (never cared for that song), but they more than made up for it by playing "rattlehead". All in all, great show - Megadeth rules again!

Favorite moment: Playing the song "rattlehead" and closing with a montage of "holy wars...the punishment due" and "mechanix". @
Opening act(s): Machine Head was absolutely stellar once again. Wished their set had been longer though - played only 7 songs. And Suicide Silence sucked as usual. @
