Great sound in a venue that isn't always known for it's good sound and Megadth KILLED with a great set which included three song off the new album, little talk and a lot of action on stage. Chris was especially relaxed and his playing was tight as hell. Dave and Co. put on a great show as always.

Favorite moment: Playing the song "rattlehead" and closing with a montage of "holy wars...the punishment due" and "mechanix". @
Opening act(s): Machine Head was absolutely stellar once again. Wished their set had been longer though - played only 7 songs. And Suicide Silence sucked as usual. @

Having been a Megadeth fan for about 20 years, I tend to grade on a curve. Even so, this show was spectacular for a few reasons. One, the guitar playing was jaw-dropping as usual. Two, the set list was a good mix of old and new (although a tad more old). And three, getting to see the show at a more intimate venue was an absolute thrill - since I've only seem them at arenas and outdoor venues before. The lighting was visually stunning, but not overbearing and everyone had great stage presence. It was not a flawless performance. It took a couple songs to dial in the sound, and vocally Dave was not as strong as I'm used to seeing. But, this was the first stop on the tour - tis okay! Could have done without "sweating bullets" (never cared for that song), but they more than made up for it by playing "rattlehead". All in all, great show - Megadeth rules again!

Really tight and polished. Very suprising to see an opening band have more PA than the headliner.
They played all of the "hits" and a few new tunes. 17 song set list and very good light show.
Would have been nice to see reserved or box seating available. I went with a minor ( 15) and the crowd was a bit rough.
All and all good time and good show.

My husband and I saw Megadeth in Peoria, IL. The show was held in an empty exhibit hall - standing only (no seats). We arrived a little late and although there were several hundred people there, we were able to join the crowd up by the stage. I appreciated that the sound was not overpowering, considering the fact that it was a rock concert. We missed the first band, and were not completely impressed with the screaming singing style of Suicide Silence. Machine Head, the third band, was pretty good, although the mosh pit they were encouraging was crazy. Megadeth, however, was the main event. They came on and played straight for a little over 1 1/2 hours, with extremely short breaks. They played a good variety of songs from many of their albums and sounded terrific. They were energetic and the crowd was loving it. Dave Mustaine was incredible. We originally went because my husband is a huge fan and hadn't ever seen them live. By the time we left, I was a huge fan as well.

While Arcadia and Suicide Silence aren't my type of bands, Machine Head and for sure Megadeth were awesome. One of the best shows I've been to in awhile. Megadeth was very good and had a good mix of newer and older songs, and of course Dave's interaction with the crowd is priceless as usual. You should really see them if you can.

It is so hard to tell just how awesome this concert was. Megadeth didn't flub anything, not one note in one song; Mustaine's vocals were spot on - he got the growls and hisses from the album versions and everything. Don't let anybody tell you he's losing anything vocally! And of course he never lost anything from his monster guitar work. He was gracious to the audience throughout, but he was viciously funny towards his record label before tearing into brutal thrasher Headcrusher for which he used his new gorgeous Zero guitar and continued with it for the surprising next song, the beautiful A Tout le Monde. Hearing the whole audience singing along with this was a spiritual experience.
Speaking of beautiful guitars, it was an honor to see Chris Broderick on his new Vic Rattlehead axe. Marty Friedman's solos never sounded so good and it was fabulous to hear him live on his own work from their new album Endgame. The band premiered 44 Minutes from this album at this concert, so I got to see something live that I had dreamed of seeing - Broderick playing the mind twisting last solo from this song!
I don't want to forget Shawn Drover and James Lomenzo. It was hard to see Shawn with the smoke effects and him behind the giant drum kit, but I have to say what I heard him do made up for it totally. The drums sounded hard and crisp. The combination of this with Lomenzo's controlled thunder bass work anchored every song down to the ground. James is always fun to watch with his stage moves; a couple of times I thought he was going to stick his bass neck all the way out into the audience! But here's the only nit about the whole show - the bass/drums almost drowned out the vocals. The guitars cut through it all right, though they could have been a little louder.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I'm so glad I went and I hope I get to see Megadeth again - seeing them once was not enough. Even though they played 17 songs, it just seemed like it was over in a flash and I was starving for more.

From the opening of the MEGADETH's set with Set the World Afire to the closing with Holy Wars....the Punishment Due to all points in between the show was great. Out of the two times that I've the band this was the better of the two. Chris Brodrick impressed me with his soloing and he played the solos from Poland, Friedman, Young, and Drover to the note.
The down point of the show was the opening line up of Arcanum, Suicide Silence, and Machine Head was not my cup of tea but the younger kids enjoyed them I just wanted to see the Mighty Megadeth.

not sure is megadeth is sick of playin the music that made them who they are or what, but in my book speeding up your songs to the point where they are not as recognizable is not acceptable. Also why were the opening acts louder and Eq'd in far better than the featured act.

the show was unbelieveable. the first band was a screamo band which sucked. you cant even understand what they were saying. the second band which was machine head. they were good , but nothing compared to the almighty .... MEGADETH. these guys were badass. Megadeth played two songs off their new album. the rest were top rated songs. megadeth still has got the metal flowing through the blood and i would make sure when they come back to go see them.
