Michael McDonald brought back a lot of memories from our past. My husband and I really loved the concert and both of us are in our 60's and can relate to the music we sang to in our earlier years. Boz Scaggs had a few songs we remembered and a few that we didn't remember. All in all a great night of music.

I'll admit I only went to see Boz, with some hope that I would enjoy Michael McDonald. No such luck. Have never cared for MM's music and this really confirmed it for me. I think he sounds the same in every same sounding song, has no range, or stage presence. Also, he looked like he was working awfully hard (sweating profusely and wiping his brow) producing a less than exciting performance.
And finally, along came Boz. A much different performance from Hampton Beach. The same magnetic stage presence, velvety voice, and effortless magic. He (again) played 3 different guitars. He talked quite a bit to the audience (different from Hampton Casino) explaining background and influences of some songs.On 3 occasions I heard his back-up band (not as good as Hampton) drop the ball/timing. Boz picked up the pieces beautifully~~ad-libbing, etc. He looked a tad tired.. Maybe the tour is getting to him, but like fine wine he's getting better with age. Standing O's for every song and word spread to the casino about his great show!!! The chemistry is wonderful and kinda' flirty between Boz and Miss Monet who was in great voice. She rocked with "I'm gonna Knock on Your Door." As usual, tears flowed during "Look What You've Done to Me." Seeing and hearing Boz again was worth every minute of 4 hour trip, but I sure wish he'd play Boston soon....Why, I'll even "put him up!!" The 5***** are only for Boz!!

I was more of a Michael McDonald fan then a Boz Skaggs fan until last night. Michael McDonald was very disappointing. From the first song he seemed to be struggling to hit notes he can no longer hit. Thank goodness for his backup singers. Also, he just barely played for an hour. Michael mentioned being a card carrying member of AARP, maybe its time to hang it up. Boz Skaggs on the other hand rocked and can still get an audience worked up. Great music and vocals!

Nothing less than great. Those two still have voices that are as clear and powerful as when they were young. The musicians that formed their bands were phenomenal. I did notice Michael McDonald's right hand and wondering if he is fighting arthritis like I am, but his keyboard mastery did not diminish one iota. Musical genius' both Michael and Boz.

Michael McDonald was fantastic! I own one of his DVD's and it was great to see him in person. The transition from one song to another and the way he groups songs together is phenominal! After a quick break, the stage was set for Boz Scaggs. Michael and his backup singers came back out and joined in with the Scaggs crew for a song. Both bands have strong backup singers - fantastic voices. The show was filled with great song, great guitar, and great sax. Ended up being a late night, but well worth it!

I had the pleasure to see my main man, Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs at the Hollywood Bowl three months ago. I had never seen or really heard of Boz Scaggs until this concert and I was very impressed with his performance! Of course, Mr. McDonald blew me away as always. If you miss Michael and Boz, you've really missed a good show. I can't wait to see them perform in L.A. again!!

Also, we had seats in the far back and we could still see and hear their performances perfectly. They had large screens that allowed you to better see the performer. The venue was very large, open and comfortable. Even the women's restroom wait time was zero, which is always a plus!!

We've been going to see Boz since the 70's and he never lets us down...always gives his best. And no place better to watch him than outdoors sitting on the grass with a bottle of wine....Ironstone Vineyards you rock!!!

It was very special concert because I got the tickets for my daughter and I. We never been to Ironstone Vineyards and it was great!!!!! The area we had was lawn seating and we took the low back lawn chairs and are view was excellent . I told others about the concert and how a great time . Cant wait to return........

I've never seen Boz Skaggs in concert and his show was wonderful. I was worried the heat of the day would make the evening a miserable one. But the Delta breeze kicked in and it turned out to be a beautiful evening.

LOVED Boz band and band! Having the 2 GREAT artist together was a wonderful idea and I would see them again. Of course Michael and his BAND did NOT dissappoint me. I saw them last year and he is a true artist. LOVED watching him play the piano and to be there to listen to his AWESOME band! COME back to Irone Stone...That's all I have to say. LOVE you Michael!

This concert not only brought me to my feet in dance, but it also brought tears to my eyes for many reason. I would see this talented man again anyday and the Turning Stone was a great setting to do so...hear, hear!

This was my first time to the Ironstone Amphitheatre and it was the most incredible experience in quite sometime. My husband & I enjoyed the venue almost as much at the music. Boz Scaggs opened (not really sure that is correct--both performers could have been the "headliner") the show and was absolutely wonderful. And his "band" was superb, especially his "back-up singer" Ms Monet! what a voice and so sassy! The sax player was tremendous but I have a special place for sax players-my nephew plays the sax amongst several instruments and I kept thinking one day that could be him up there on stage! and then Michael McDonald came out...I met him many years ago when he was still with the Doobie Brothers; Ambrosia opened for them. I knew David Pack (with Ambrosia at the time) and got to go back stage after the show...it was a thrill even at the ripe old age of 25! And again, Michael's band was wonderful -- special tribute to the his drummer, "Baby Girl"...amazing is the only word for her! it was an incredible show, incredible night and the venue was perfect. Will go again and hopefully to see these two guys again!

Funny I got this opportunity to write a review today because after last nights show I did say to my husband, "think I'll write the Turning Stone and tell them what a wonderful time we had and what a fantastic venue to see a live show!!!" Great time, will definately plan another evening for a show in the near future and plan on staying overnight!

The concert was great from beginning to end, of course michael's singing was amazing and entertaining, but the band sounded great as well as his back-up singers - who by the way just put out an album, she had a great stage presence. Loved every second of it.

My fiance and I were looking forward to seeing these 2 great artists together. ALWAYS enjoy the music and professionalism of Boz Scaggs. He did not disappoint.

We were disappointed that Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs did not perform 1 song together. The show was billed as though they probably would.

Most disappointing was that Michael McDonald did not seem to have his voice of old. The high notes were not to be found and the quality of sound was like a bad impression of Michael McDonald. We could feel the energy of the crowd go down, once he played a few songs.

I have abeen a fan of both artists for many years. Next time I will go see Boz Scaggs on his own. It was not worth the very high price of this ticket to see both.

Could it have been my last time to see Michael McDonald? I hope not. He came out without a voice. His band watched him and played as they noticed several people file out of the warm yet trying to cool venue. I made my way to the front of the stage to watch this beautiful struggle and then as his voice returned so did the rest of us. His heart could not have been bigger! I get tears in my eyes when I think of his passion to please us. Wow. One of the most touching performances I have ever seen.

As for Boz, well, this was my ninth time to see him and he ROCKED! Boz has such a richness no one can touch. I will come to Ironstone anytime for Boz...he is the man.
