I took my 17 year old and she had the best time we sang , we danced and Had a great time. She really enjoyed watching the older people still rockin to the music>

IT WAS MORE THAN I EXPECTED. THEY WERE VERY GOOD! THEY ALL INTERACTED WITH US, THE AUDIENCE. YOU COULD TELL THAT THEY WERE EXCITED TO BE ON STAGE AND REALLY ENJOY PERFORMING. I STOOD AT THE STAGE FOR ALMOST THE ENTIRE SHOW AND I HAVE VERY BAD KNEES THAT DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO STAND WELL.
THEY WERE AWESOME! I HAVE NEVER PAID THAT AMOUNT OF MONEY TO SEE ANYONE AND YOU KNOW WHAT, I WOULD DO IT AGAIN AND STAND DOWN STAGE.

Wow!! They really out did themselves with the opening band! Blackberry Smoke was amazing and I hope to hear more of them on the radio soon! I don't know what was going on with Rev Theory but I didn't think it fit the crowd for Skynard. Skynard was great as always!

On Nov 13, I was able to catch the Lynyrd Skynyrd, God and Guns Tour at the Pensacola Civic Center. The show promptly began as scheduled at 8pm. The first opening act was "Blackberry Smoke." I had never heard of them but they seemed to be a Southern Rock band and performed 4 songs. They are based out of Atlanta Ga, and had a good sound. After a stage change, the second act to perform was "Rev Theory." While I had heard of the group, I wasn't familiar of any of their songs. They are more of a hard rock based group, similar to Disturbed but without the dark lyrics.
Skynyrd took the stage at about 9:30pm and finished at about 11:00pm. They performed all of their major radio hits and a couple off of the new album. Nobody sat down during the entire 1.5 hours. I watched KISS perform just a couple of weeks earlier, While the KISS show had more theatrics and special effects, Skynyrd just rocked. People were singing along and dancing in the aisles. The Skynyrd show was probably the most fun I have had at a concert.
The only downside to the Skynyrd performance was the sound quality. The opening band had the best sound of the night. The instruments sounded clear as well as the vocals. The sound quality got worse with Rev Theory and did not improve with Skynyrd. It seemed that they preferred to be loud rather than sound good. Most notably, the singers vocals did not come through very well, and the overall sound wasn't EQed very well and in some cases sounded distorted. My companions noted this as well. The sound quality wasn't so bad that it had a negative effect, but I would have gave the Overall Rating 5 stars instead of 4 if the sound had been better.

The professionalism of Lynyrd Skynyrd was evident in a flawless performance, Great from start to finish! From the new opening song Skynyrd Nation to the legendary Free Bird!
The tribute the the troops was moving and appreciated.
Of course who could stay in their seat when the classic Skynyrd songs were played but the new songs from the God and Guns album hit home with the audience specially in that they say what we all feel out here in the real world. In fact I see God and Guns as our new battle cry!
My only negative words concern the opening acts. I enjoyed Blackberry Smoke and think they have a great fuure... but Rev Theory was not the Genre I believe most Skynyrd fans cared for... certainly the Skynyrd Nation deserved better!

This was the second time I had saw Lynyrd Skynyrd. I would have to say I was as pleased as when I saw them the first time. I just wish they would have put the full stage-size Confederate Flag down like in the show I saw before. This time the flags were on tv screens. A sign of the times I guess.

It was a good southern Rock n roll show seen before during bama jam . They played sum of the old classics plus new stuff from the new album God and Guns.Can't complain got a great deal on the tickets got floor seats but as always your gonna end up standing the whole show on the floor.only negative was they stop selling beer at 10:00

I was excited for this concert since I had taken a group of friends and gotten us all 3rd row floor seats. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. It was loud as hell with poor sound mixing quality. For the first 1/3 of the concert, about all I could hear was the bass guitar overpowering all others. They finally got that toned down some, but not enough. It was all SO LOUD and generally poorly mixed that mostly what I heard was a lot of NOISE and feedback. It's a good thing I knew their songs, since I could hear very little of their singing. The piano playing, which is a great part of LS's music, was virtually silent the entire concert, although we could sure see him banging away on the keys. I could just barely hear the piano on his solo parts.
The band itself played hard and tried to put on a decent show, despite some miscues and missed notes. Hopefully they will see this review and work on a better production, as they should be embarassed about the quality of this show. I saw LS 2-3 years ago in Biloxi, and they put on a spectacular show --- a world apart from this show.

The Lynyrd Skynyrd concert was awesome! They gave a high-energy, head banging performance. Almost the entire crowd stayed on their feet for the whole show. Anyone who has the opportunity to see them will not be disappointed!

I really enjoyed the concert. Blackberry Smoke opened up for Skynyrd and they were fabulous. Rev Theory was pretty good, but i dont think they fit the category of southern rock, could have done without them. Lynyrd Skynyrd was my brothers favorite band,he passed away at the age of 16 back in 1981. I had always wanted to see Skynyrd as they are also my favorite. I would gladly go see them again. They put on a great show!

Great music; vast collection of fans (age; background and appearance). I thoroughly enjoyed the night with my two daughters ages 23 and 35, their men, and my husband. We all had a great time. Everyone was in a great mood; really amped up by the music. We were officially part of Skyrnyrd Nation!
