I wasn't sure what to expect, from Loverboy. I was a big fan . . . back in the early 80's. But I had never seen them perform live. I wasn't disappointed--but I can't say that I was incredibly thrilled.
The band has a lot of talent, and I had forgotten just how many hits they had had, decades ago. The lead singer still sounds great, but their audio setup needs work, as the sound was often muffled, especially when he was speaking to the audience. It was great to hear all of those classic songs, performed live by the original band. But it was certainly . . . odd, with them being a lot older. The lead singer now looks like a chubby, alcoholic, redneck trucker, and it was somewhat disconcerting hearing him sing love songs like "This Could Be the Night."
If you're a fan, I'd certainly recommend seeing them, if you get the chance--it's well worth the trip down memory lane.

Favorite moment: Probably some of the solos, which were very well done--not the usual boring solo fare. @
Opening act(s): The Romantics @
