My wife and I are long-time Kenny Loggins fans. My biggest fear is that he would deliver a tired, half-hearted effort, especially in our small rural Nebraska venue. He and his band were AWESOME! GO SEE KENNY!

High praise also for the World Classic Rockers, Kenny's lead-in band. Some of the members are showing their age (I suspect some were going offstage for oxygen at times), but they put on a helluva show, including a spot-on Free Bird with Lynard Skynard's Randall Hall.

Opening act(s): The songs and music was good, the guys did do a good job of firing up the crowd but the sound seemed to be loud to over power some of the lose of words and pitch. The best was, Your momma don't dance and your daddy don't rock-n-roll. @

I've been a Loggins & Messina fan for a long time, I loved the sound and the lyrics. Being in the midwest its a real joy to have a top name performer come to the central US. I thrilled to see that Kenny was coming to Grand Island, NE. . .and then the performance was FANTASTIC. I sincerely appreicated the selection of songs which displayed that Kenny still has the range of notes (even when the sound folks were causing him some issues) and hasn't missed a beat unlike the World Rockers who opened. Kenny and his band put on a excellent show for the Grand Island, NE crowd and it was so good I'd hope to make the Loggins & Messina tour in KC or Council Bluffs.

Kenny Loggins has the most unique voice. A natural and talented entertainer. My husband played drums with him in the Plattsburgh NY Fieldhouse in 1978, and says he was fantastic then, and even plays guitar better than he remembers. A God given talent.

Kenny Loggins put on a great show featuring his best ballads and rock and roll songs from throughout his career. He plays and sings as well as he ever has. Kenny has an excellent band that adds to the quality of the performace. This was by far the best concert to come to central Nebraska in 2009. People who didn't take advantage of this opportunity to see Kenny Loggins missed out on a fun summer night.

I took my 12 year old Granddaughter we really enjoyed this concert she listened to his CD of bedtime stories when she was young and was great to take her to see him also had good seats Grandma also liked the concert.

We attended the Kenny Loggins concert at Grand Island since it was close to Holdrege. It was entertaining to know the songs, words, and watch other people enjoy themselves thinking about the old days. For being in the middle of Nebraska we were surprised that Loggins gave a full effort and acted as though he and the band were enjoying themselves. The band had many younger members who were quite talented. We enjoyed them too. Since it was a live concert, the songs were embellished and longer. Loggins has an amazing voice to share and so much versatility. Very impressive. We're glad that we went.

The opening act of Rockers was interesting. Fun familiar songs although a little loud and long. They put forth great effort also.

All in all we got our monies worth.

Kenny performed a nice array of hits from his arsenal. His back up band was musically and vocally up to the task of backing up a legend. Nice balance of ballads featuring his wide vocal range and get- off -your- seat rock 'n roll." Meet ME Half Way" is sweet done live, and he did a new variation on the smash hit "This Is It" which was the lead in music for CBS' Final Four broadcast for years.

Kenny Loggins provided us with perhaps the best stage show we have ever seen. He is incredibly talented and what was most amazing is that he wrote his own material. Even though he was performing in central Nebraska at a county fair, he and his group gave us 200%. We saw a Las Vegas caliber show 20 miles from our home. Thank you Kenny & Co for one of my most memorable evenings! Also, the opening act was also excellent showing great instrumental talent.

My review of the concert is mixed. The warm up acts were classic rockers from Journey, Toto, Steppenwolf, Santana, and Lynrd Skynrd. They did their hits and it was a blast down memory lane. However, then Kenny Loggins presented far too many of his hits mixed in the hard rock style. If I never hear another electric guitar solo (even they were talented musicians) I'll be okay. "Return to Pooh Corner," "Danger Zone," and "Footloose" were any good. The rest of Loggins songs just hurt my ears--they all sounded the same. Many people walked out during "Angry Eyes" it was so bad. I think I'm going to stick with Al Jarreau, Michael Buble and Jason Mraz type of stuff from now on.
