This version of the band puts on an impressive show. The venue was a small casino showroom outside Seattle, and the band worked the crowd well. The lead singer/bass player has been around for many years (although even he is not a founding member), but the other guys are much newer to the group. We had a great time at the show and didn't really notice that some of the vocals are not being performed by the original singers. The harmonies are strong and all the musicians are solid players. The band covers all the major LRB hits and then some--if you were listening to top 40 radio in the mid 70s to early 80s, you'll be surprised at how many of these tunes you'll remember. A bluesy version of "The Other Guy" was a fun variation on the original.

This was my first concert at Snoqualmie Casino and I thought it was GREAT!
The venue is small and relaxed, I had great seats. The seats are well cushioned and comfortable ( although I didnt sit much! )
Little River Band was amazing, still sounding great after all these years.
Played all their old hits and only 2 new ones which is nice. When you go to see a band from back a few years you want to hear their hits,
Would see them again in a heartbeat.

We missed LRB at the Silver Reef Casino once and I was hoping for them to come to the Vancouver, BC area. Got tickets immediately. It was packed. People were dancing from the very start. This band was well loved on Friday, October 2nd. We were so glad to be there too! The lead singer performed very well with the songs that made them a hit over 30 years ago. Wow!

Wow, not sure where to begin! Let's start out by saying, I've seen LRB many times through the years, starting as early as 1977, this band tonight was as far from the original LRB that you could possibly get, even very far from the many incarnations, through out the years. They were once an Australian band with a American bass player, now they're an American band with an Australian guitar player! No Front Man, moved Wayne Nelson (bassist) into lead singing position. Although a good enough singer in his own right, not a Glenn Sorrock or even close. Two decent guitar players (vocal wise, both were only fair vocalists...Greg Hind sounded as if he had a bit of a cold, high notes were strained and out of reach on some songs. Keyboard players was so-so, nothing fancy, came out front for a gatorgan solo (which is so eighties) his sounds were a bit lacking, especially on grand piano and organ parts. He seemed more fit for toy noodily synthesizer parts. The drummer seemed good, tight and in the pocket, just wish they would have put him more in the mix, never had the chance to feel any kick drum the entire night!
The Band would take quite some time between tunes, a lot of wasted space so to speak, and also at times seemed like a mere garage band trying to emulate LRB songs. The mix was off here and there, I've heard other bands in that room, that weren't having the same problems of vocal drop outs and lowly mixed drums.
The crowd seemed very easy to please, many fueled by alcohol, dancing in the aisles when allowed. Plus the energy seemed quite high, for a baby booming Wednesday evening!
On a more positive note, I enjoyed seeing the people respond to the old fart jokes and the crowd singing back and forth, and the fact that many of us over 50 still came out midweek to see and listen to a popular act that began their career in the 70's.... this made for a tolerable evening!
I just don't know, possibly I'm to picky, but given the fact that LRB hasn't been close to popular using today's standards(in decades) and tickets were $30.00 plus, I feel they should have put on a better show then they did.
With that said, if they didn't hold the name LRB ( which makes me wonder how you keep a name, when not one original member is still in the band?) Anyhow, I feel they were a very, very good cover band, doing a fair job at covering the LRB.

I had such a great time at this show. Both me and my girlfriend love LRB's music and listen to it when we are together and dance. The Casino had great architecture. The auditorium had great acoustics. The stage was very well set up.
The only downside which we over came was the crowd was very reluctant to stand up and dance. We wanted to so badly and determined to enjoy dancing to this great music and atmosphere. So we moved off to the side to dance. The bouncer asked us not to dance in the aisle. So we wnt back to our front row center stage seats and danced in front of our chairs. This turned out to be pretty cool as we were the only ones in the crowd standing as we slow danced to the music. The crowd started cheering and I think it was for us as much as the music.

Wow! Just returned from The Little River Band concert at the Snoqualmie Casino. Truly the wait was worth it since 1990! The distinctive LRB sound still endures: tight, syncopated arrangements, crisp, chilling harmonies, and superb instrumental artist...ry - brought me to tears at times! Although this video is not from the concert, it bears a remarkable resemblance to tonight - Wayne Nelson on lead vocals!Read More

I was a little worried i was going to see a cover band. Only the lead singer has been there thru most(not all of LRB success) I was very pleased with the performance. They sounded awesome! I would highly recommend anyone seeing them perform. They original line does perform under there own name. The old lead guitarist won the LRB name in court,so the original lineup goes by the real names.Look it up.

The fear of seeing an age-old band is that all the band members have left/died and a pale representation of what they were graces the stage. While the players have changed, Wayne Nelson, the voice behind LRB, sings like he was in his 30's and can still scream out the high notes. The show was polished and musicians were spot on (although a sax player would have been nice) and they gave a crowd of 50-somethings and 20 somethings a reason to dance and sing along.

Little River Band is a tight group. Very accomplished musicians. Richard the new lead guitarist is fantastic. Played alot of their older sets, with a few really good new songs. The song "Outback" is really great. The only negative; the show is pretty short. LRB only played for 1 1/2 hours. Would have like to heard more.

I'm sure all of these bands from the 70s and 80s are tired of playing the same songs over and over, but they turned one great old song into the blues and destroyed another by trying to modernize it. Neither of the two were all that appealing to me. The rest of their music sounded as good as ever. The had enough support from the crowd for one more ovation that we never saw.

Sound Quality: Excellent.
Musicianship: Excellent.
Venue: Small but great accoustics. Not a bad seat in the house.
Song selection: good but could have been more.
Only complaint: they didn't play long enough. Their "greatest hits" CD set is 3 discs. They played thge equivalent to one---which they've recorded and that's their set-list.
WAYNE NELSONS VOICE IS AWESOME!
