Kansas' live performance was flawless. Riffs by violin, guitar and keyboards were tight and right on every time. Vocals were powerful. We enjoyed their concert even more than we imagined we would.
3 Dog Night played all their top songs. The audience was singing and moving to all their favorites. A good time was had by 'all.'

Kansas put on an amazing show. They sounded and played awesome. I didn't think anything could surpass them until 3 Dog Night came on. It sounded like I was back in the 70's. They didn't move as much but were very entertaining!

Kansas played first and sounded very good, but I didn't like their playlist as well as when I had seen them a couple years ago. Their choices didn't seem to go well together, and I was not familiar with most of them.
Three Dog Night sounded outstanding, and just plain made the evening great. It was pretty amazing how well they sang, and the whole band just put on a great show. Their playlist was excellent, with only a song or two not included of what I had hoped to hear, but they did a blues number I had not heard before and blew us away! It'sthe first time I had seen them, but hopefully not the last.

Even after all the years, Three Dog Night & Kansas still are terriffic. The music, the songs, the talented musicians, the showmen, both groups have it all. Hope to see them all again before they call it a career.

Both Kansas and Three Dog Night were great.They both played about ninety minutes.They were very "tight" not missing a note.Kansas being a bit of a newer band took my wife and I back to fun times but 3 dog really took us back!1 When they played " SPAIN"I thought my wife would cry.probably 'cause we kinda like The Beatles who they sing about.A very relaxed crowd enjoyed three hours of fun by for the mast part stayed in their seats and let the music come to them.JUST WONDERFUL !! Thanks to both bands.Tip of the hat to you both.

Favorite moment: Kansas. But if I had to say, it was Dust in the Wind. I wished I had a lighter just for that and I realized, I need to learn the song on guitar. @

Kansas put on a great show, and the crowd was totally pumped! I'm a huge fan, so I enjoyed it greatly.

Three Dog Night was good. They had a cool rendition of Mama Told Me Not to Come. The crowd also loved them. I am younger, so I didn't know a number of their songs from the early 70s, but others seemed to know them.

And of course both group gave encores of the best hits, Carry On Wayward Son and Joy to the World, respectively.

Great show all in all.

I would say the only negative is that Emerald Queen isn't the greatest venue. Thin chairs packed in a really large ballroom. I was in the 6th row almost in front of the band, so it was awesome, but I feel for those who are off to the sides furthur from the stage.

Two life long friends and I went to see Three Dog Night and Kansas..They were both great. The violin player for Kansas was wonderful, as they all were. Great memories!

3 Dog Night put on a show that would have made any fan happy. They still sound good and really put on a great performance. Acoustics were done to perfection. On the other hand, Kansas would have been very good if they had performed at a much lower decible. They were so loud, they ruined the enjoyment of their superior instrumental skills. My ears still are ringing.

This was my first concert at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, very nice venue! And this was my first time seeing 3 Dog Night a concert I had wanted to attend several times before but was never able to make it happen, they were awesome!! I so enjoyed this concert, they sounded and looked great! All the songs I love were sung and then some, no disappointments. I had been to a Kansas concert before, many years ago, and even though I was mainly there to see 3 Dog Night, Kansas rocked! Both bands delivered a quality performance, thanks guys!!!!! Keep it up!

Both Kansas and 3 D-Night really rocked and put on a great show. The vocals for both were right on and Kansas rocked harder than I remember. This was a great venue to see a concert....not too big and good accoustics.... I would come back to watch them again.

Our 16 and 18-year-old sons sent us to Kansas and 3-Dog Night for a gift and Kansas was a completely unexpected gift! Their musical talents are so "tight" and perfected that they are a treat to watch and their performance on stage was delightful. It was fun to watch them perfom not only their older music that we grew up loving, but also newer music that we will go out and purchase when it is released this week so that we can share it with our boys! Their violonist is phenomenal and an absolute delight to watch!

I would have given them five stars because the bands were awesome - fantastically talented. I would definitely recommend seeing them and I plan to see them again if possible.

The reason I couldn't rate them as high as the bands really deserved was that the venue left something to be desired. There was no clear signage or directions to get to the show within the casino. Also, the video tech didn't seem to know who was doing a solo, sometimes showing a band member who wasn't even spot-lighted on the big screens. It was frustrating to see the big dark screen.

I've never been a fan of progressive rock, but the musicianship of Kansas was excellent.

I've seen 3 Dog Night twice before (with Negron), and the old guys have still got it. I wish they could find the right song to put them at the top of the charts again, just as a contrast to the crap that passes for popular music today.

Both groups are old guys who show that they've still got it and know how to make real music (you know, where people actually sing and play real instruments).

We were very pleased to see that the concert started on-time. Though it may have been better to have had 3 Dog Night start the evening off, when they finally got on the stage it looked like they had missed their naps or needed to take some Geritol & Ensure to get themselves moving. Once they got themselves going, 3 Dog showed what makes them a headlining group. Kansas was great hands down and should have been the Headliners at this one!

Several months ago, we had some friends from California recommend that we go see 3 Dog Night if they came to the Seattle area. They were absolutely right! If you are a baby boomer, 3 Dog Nights music was a part of the generation that you grew up with. The concert brought back many happy memories of those times. All of these musicians still have the talent that propelled them to the top of the charts in the 1970's. Plus they had fun doing the show.

Kansas was awesome. The talent of the musicians who make up this band is beyond compare. They kept the joint rockin from their opening number right on through their encore, "Carry on my wayward son". I would definitely go and see both of these groups again when they return.

The venue, while decent once inside, needs some improvement in the entrance and exit procedures. You must enter the hall after tromping from one end to the other of the casino. Only one entrance was utilized, so the lines were long. At the end of the show, you were rushed out of the hall by security, to once again wait in lines to depart. At least they used 2 exits while leaving.

This concert was a DOUBLE WIN! Kansas rocked it hard, displaying incredible musianship and entertainment. The music was really tight and the show was a real SHOW. It was Kansas's 35th anniversary tour and wow, they were as high energy and wonderful has they were over 30 years ago.

Three Dog Night was absolutely outstanding. OMG, these guys truly have improved with age. The harmonies were spot on, the music was riveting and showmanship just grabbed us by the throat and would not let go. I fell in love with the group all over again. It was a mixed age group and there was something for everybody. They played a lot of their classics and threw in new material. They really seemed to enjoy themselves and swept us right along with them.

Wow. I saw 3 Dog Night back in the 70's when they were the big act on the ticket. They haven't change,except for age, from what I remember. Kansas blew the crowd away with all of their hits. Both bands have exceptional musicians that know how to put on a show.

Kansas rocked! They put on a good show & played over an hour. They were entertaining and played all their good songs. They seemed to be enjoying playing. I wanted more when thier set was done.
3 Dog Night started pretty slow. They seemed to be doing a job, rather than performing. After about 1/2 hour, they got into what they were doing & loosened up some. They played their big hits and songs off albums that were not on the radio.
Overall the evening was really fun! I would see both groups again.

I thought the concert was fantastic and fun. I was very impressed by the violin player in Kansas. Kansas is such a talented band and has always been a long time favorite. The entire show sounded great and had a lot of energy. I am glad to have had the opportunity to attend this event!
