My Wife and I enjoyed the Elton John / Billy Joel Concert on July 14, 2009 so very much.
It exceeded our expectations as both are favorites of ours.
To see them together and hear them playing off each other was phenominal.
Both put thier heart and soul into thier performance and enjoy having the audience be a part of it all.
The audience was also great and respectful of them and each other which makes the event a pleasure.
I got the tickets in March and and we eagerly waited for the day to arrive.
Telling my boss I needed Bastille Day off was fun too.
We do not go to a lot of concerts and choose only our favorites.
We made the day an event itself by arriving early and going to dinner and having a relaxing afternoon just window shopping and walking.
I would like to thank Elton John & Billy Joel for helping to make it a wonderful day for us.

With the possible exceptions of Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones, no current touring act maintains the timeless quality of Joel & John. Being a pianist and a huge Billy Joel fan, I was definitely anticipating Joel more than John, but having never seen Elton John in person before, the Brit's very appearance on stage was inexplicably breathtaking. This event, hardly encapsulated by the casual "concert", is obviously one of the most worthwhile tickets in the performing arts, but that should be fairly apparent. The two biggest piano rockers in the history of the genre performing together on stage lies among the Aurora Borealis and the Running of the Bulls as an event one feels not compelled, but obliged to see in one's lifetime. Take your spouse, take your children, take your family pet - there is no excuse for any living being to miss this musical spectacular.

My boyfriend and I saw Elton John and Billy Joel in May and it was worth ever little penny we paid for our seats. Elton John was amazing and so personable. After every song, he would get up and thank the crowd. Definitly next time he is in town, I will be the first in line to get tickets.

The duets, the solos the simple ability to play! Just an amazing show. Having seen Billy before I knew what to expect. He was definitley more social with the crowd this time though. Sir Elton was just amazing to finally see live. He re-arranged the songs to fit his voice and they were still awsome.

We really enjoyed both Billy Joel and Elton John. I would really have enjoyed hearing Elton sing, no matter how it would have sound. Despite the mix, the show was outstanding. Spent the money and took our kids. They will not forget. Great to hear both of them cover each other’s songs. What a match. Would love to see them again. Maybe not at Nationwide Arena.

This was bar none the best concert I have ever attended and I can't imagine it will ever be topped! They played for well over 3 hours non-stop. More than worth the price of admission and then some. Their solo sets were fantastic with so many songs that everyone knows but the duets with both men at pianos facing each other were the true showstoppers. What can be better than two of the all time greatest singers/songwriters/piano players/entertainers singing their greatest hits together with 20,000 people in the crowd singing along? Simply the best!!!

Billy Joel is a great performer and his music is loved by many ages. This is the 2nd time in a year we have seen him and we will continue to go see him as long as he tours.
Wonderful show. He is always involved with the people that come to see him. Keep rockin Billy !

Spectacular! Non-stop performance of Billy and Elton. Flawless transition between the performers. I would have loved to have heard more of duets with Billy and Elton without the backup but overall the concert was amazing.

The show was a dream come true for me. I've wanted to see Elton John and Billy Joel live for the longest time. Both are masters of the piano and song. Everyone was up on their feet dancing and singing along to both artists' biggest hits. They started together, going back and forth with each others' songs, then Elton played for an hour, then Billy played for another hour. For Encore they both came out again and played six songs. I've been to many shows, but I have to say that this is one of my favorites. Legends are the best.

Great concert. Billy and Elton played together for about an hour, followed by an hour of Elton solo. Billy played an hour solo too and then the two were back on stange to wrap up another hour of great music. They sang each others songs and complimented each other well. Billy was more engaging with the crowd then was Elton, but it was a show to remember nonetheless!

What can I say??? I'd seen Elton and Billy seperately in Columbus. Told my husband and son the only thing that could be better was the two of them together!!
The show on July 14th was nothing less than awesome!!! I was skeptical about them doing duets of each others songs at first, but the duets added another diminsion to the sogs I had never imagined. All 6 of us (ages 18 - 54) totally enjoyed the whole show. Can't wait till we can see them both again!!!

This was such a awsome concert. I loved the interaction with the crowd . I loved how they both sang the each others songs alone & together. I've seen Elton John before but this was my 1st time seeing Billy Joel & he rocked with the old & the new!! As did Elton!!

Billy Joel is my all-time favorite singer/performer. Billy Joel and Elton John put on a spectacular show! This was my second time seeing the two of them together in Michigan. I would pay to see the two of them together every time they are in Michigan. Our seats were behind the stage, but that didn't even matter. I LOVE YOU BILLY! ! ! !
