Since I'd only heard of the Indigo Girls in midlife, I was blown away by their ability to cross over to a new generation. Last night I was probably one of the oldest attending the concert, yet had a blast and was happy to see so many young women and men. The Girls' music is soulful and rich. Amy and Emily harmonize beautifully. They exemplify the "power of two."

Definitely not disappointed in the Indigo Girls, which was the reason for our trip to the concert, but Matt Nathanson was fun and is a great talent. Enjoyed the show from start to finish. But Matt should have brought more CDs - I went to buy one but they had just run out.

I enjoyed listening to Matt Nathanson. He was very entertaining as a singer and as a comedian. He had everyone singing along with him and then laughing at him during his show. I recommend going to see him.

The recent Chastain Park concert was as disappointing as the weather. The Indigo Girls used to work much harder for lower priced tickets. While their music continues to be enjoyable, the show was full of new material and very few of the old favorites that generated their success. I would have thought the fact that we were sitting in the rain to hear them would have inspired them to throw the setlist aside and give us something spectacular.
We will definitely not be in the audience next time they play Chastain!

As usual, the Indigo Girls put on an AMAZING show Sunday night! Their music is so beautiful and inspiring, and they are one of the few bands these days who are as good or better live than recorded. I have seen them several times before, and they have never disappointed. I hope they come back soon!!

this was the first time I'd seen the Indigo girls in about 15 years. I started following their music and performances in the late 80's and thought they were amazing then. Last night I was able to bring my 7 year old daughter and my girlfriend and we all had a great time. It was wonderful to experience them again, in my middle years.

Having never seen either Matt Nathanson nor the Indigo Girls before last night, I can tell you just how powerful my firsttime experience was with both! A friend of mine from Chicago introduced me to Matt Nathanson over the summer and I'll admit, it wasn't until last night that I truly understood her obsession. He is so full of personality and humor in his performance, I couldn't help but feel giddy watching him. Honestly, it is almost disappointing to only listen to his CD now and not have that kind of interaction to go with his music, but I still have the memory of this show to go back to.
Then the Indigo Girls blew my mind, or more specifically, their talent, fan base, and modesty blew my mind. Not only did they harmonize beautifully and perform amazingly touching songs, but they thanked the crowd after every song! Thank YOU, Indigo Girls, for providing me with decades of material to catch up with your incredibly dedicated fan club!

It's been a while since I had seen the Indigo Girls (lack of funds and they haven't toured this close in a while). So when I saw they were playing at Hopefest, I jumped on those tickets! What a delight that they were playing an acoustic set ! That was a welcome surprise ! What a great mix of songs they had planned for their set. I have been fans of the girls since way before they even had a guitar tech (hey Sully !!) and this was one of the best song lists I've heard from them. Their voices are still as sweet as ever. But this concert was more than just the girls. I also went to see Krista Wells and she did not disappoint ! I wish she could have had more time for performing, but hopefully, she'll have her moment soon. Matt Nathanson was quite a surprise as well. He entertained the entire time he was on stage !! He was a perfect compliment to the Indigo Girls. He provided the funnest moments for this performance for sure !!

Amy and Emily were happy and smiling as they took the stage. The weather was beautiful and they commented as such. This being a benefit show they played "Hammer and a Nail" which was nice. That song is not in the rotation much these days. They played all the usual faves like "Get out the Map", "Shame on You", "Galileo", "Closer to Fine" (of course!). I particularly liked "Devotion", "Second Time Around" and "Yield". I guess I gave myself away as an Amy fan. But THE highlight of the show was "Ghost"! Apparently that song was requested during the pre-show meet and greet and they decided to do it but they made sure to tell us they had NOT rehearsed it at all. Rehearsed or not, it was brilliant! I'm talking goosebumps and tears here. It was truly beautiful. For the first time ever I got to hear "Southland in the Springtime" so that was a treat as well. FYI.. if you haven't seen Matt Nathanson.. he is great! His songs are all very personal and guitar driven (sound familiar?) and he gets the crowd involved. He has lots of banter with the audience and he is a funny guy. Very enjoyable. All in all it was a wonderful evening!

It was so enjoyable to actually sit and enjoy music under the stars. I do love to dance, but have longed for a night like that. Being able to sit in my husband's arms and listen to some of our favorite songs, live- was an experience I will never forget.
Just the musicians & their guitars was so personnal and like no other concert I have attended. Matt Nathanson blew me away!! He is way more talented than I realized & and so inviting to the audience. He makes you laugh and really take it all in!
The Indigo Girls were spot on! Have seen them once before at much larger venue, but hands down this was the perfect location. Never better!!

The Indigo Girls don't have to dress like millionaires or change their hairstyles, we love 'em for all that they write, all that they strum, and all that they wail.
This concert brought me back 10 years to when I was a heart-broken, world travelling college kid with a newly 'out' sister by my side.
Good stuff. I liked the new stuff too.
