This is the second time that I have seen Al Green and he was even more energetic and funnier than last time. His voice still sounds fantastic. He is a real entertainer. His band and his daughters (who do the backup vocals) are great. I would highly recommend seeing him!!

I was a little skeptical about paying $180.00 per ticket to see Al. Green but it was for my mothers birthday, one of favorite singers of all time. I had to get the tickets and surprise her. I am happy that I did. Al Green was remarkable. He sung all the songs you would have wanted to hear. Al hit those notes that sent chills up your spine. I am 38yrs so if it had that effect on me can you imagine the older generation. My mother really enjoyed the show. She sang, waived her hands in the air. Al Green did his thing. The band was great and on point at all times. The dancers he had did a good job as well.
The food was good. Everything you could want was at B.B. Kings. Once you sat down you didn't have to get up for anything. The hostess were very pleasant.
Seating was a little tight. If you had a full table it didn't give you alot of room to move and be as comfortable. However at our table we adjusted and had a very good time enjoying one anothers company.
My generation of singers/artist should really take a good look and think to themselves "Would my music have the same effect on people 35 yrs from now" If not it is time for a change.

When we purchased the tickets we feared that we would not experience the Al Green that we knew through the years. We shouldn't have worried. He was one of the most energetic performers that we have ever seen He is still at the top of his game even though he is 60+. I would recommend this venue and concert to all fans of true "soul" music.

Al Green really puts on a show. He engages the audience and sings and dances nonstop.
Only complaint is I wish the show was longer than the one hour and he didn't do an encore, otherwise, I highly recommend seeing this legend in action!

Al Green still knows how to do it! Great night, shame that there was such a price jump between general admission/standing room and the seated area. Definately worth getting there early if you have standing room tickets so you can stand in the middle of the bar, with the fantastic view!

The performance and venue were perfect! We sat 10 feet from the stage- he performed for a little over an hour- dynamic, very personable, great voice-
Food, drink & service were wonderful(much improved from the last time I attended a concert here!)

Great venue and nice to see Al so close up. However there was a little too much audience participation (singing for Al for example). Also the medley of songs from the Four Tops, etc was a bit too Vegas. I would have preferred to hear a whole song. Tix quite pricey for a medley. Also no encores.

Al still has it, he can sing and move just like he always has. The crowd was a mix of young and old, and not too congested which made it a very pleasant night! The only con was he performed for one hour, wanted to see more. Was a great show overall.

Jesse Dee was very good - never heard of him before, but enjoyed his show. Al Green was great - really enjoyed him. He sounded fabulous - played a lot of favorites. My only complaint was his show was much too short. Over $50 for a show that was just about an hour long is excessive. He could have come back to play at least one encore song.

Fantastic show. Al's still got it. Only drawback is that I would have loved an encore. Also, great venue at the House of Blues. Nice, diverse mix of people that all showed respect for each other and the performer. A testament to Boston and to Al Green!

How to explain this concert? Al was great. I had never seen him before and always loved his music. His voice was unmistakeable, he brougfht lots of energy, and the band was very tight. No preaching, just high energy music.
And then.... after exactly one hour
He stopped,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
said goodnight and the show was over, I WAS STUNNED!!. I figured he was doing the usual stop ( break) and then 30-45 minutes of encores. Nope,,,nuttin, just the crew breaking down the stage. In the 36 years of seeing over 250 concerts, I have NEVER seen a show this short. it was VERY disappointing and I am not sure if I would ever go see this performer again. $60 and 60 minutes? Hmmm,,,not really what I was looking for. He was very good for those 60 minutes, but that is just way too short for a show, especially given all the material he could have played.
Thumbs down!!

Al and his excellent band put on a great show. The only problem is that it was way too short. He played for just under an hour and he didn't even do an encore. That's cheap.
