My first mistake was purchasing tickets before I was aware Mark Farner was muscled out from the band. When they out negotiated him, they did the same to their true blue fans, To coin one of their much anticipated, but not included songs, "Nothing Is The Same" without Mark. Sorry, the playlist was lame, meaning the poplular overplayed radio play list (same as a previous one in Vinton, LA) was duplicated. Where was Sins a Good Man's Brother, Aimless Lady, In Need, Into the Sun, People Let's Stop the War, Mr Limousine Driver, Gimme Shelter, Country Road, Paranoid, etc. Mel and Don, you guys still have it, but with the poor play list selection you continually choose and minus Mark, I have to give you generously only two stars. Sadly let me include, that your old band, to me, was at the top of my heap with Led Zeppelin. Sorry, to say that is not close anymore. You all need to differentiate yourselves from mainstream once again, and play the songs that made you great, not popular. If I wanted the same as what the marketing World of today insists, then I'll electrocute myself while listening to that Dubstep crap and gyrate from wall to wall like carpeting, which is also obsolete.
Good thing WAR also played, they knocked it out of the park. They could only get to half of their best songs due to time constraints. I only wish GFR wouldn't have been the headliners, and WAR would have been the solo act so they could have gotten to their remaining hits.
I hope my passion for music is felt in my honest well thought out words.
