E.J. Thomas is a great venue, and even though our seats were way up in the back of the first balcony, the sound was awesome and our sight-lines unobstructed. Sitting back there, listening to good old Bob doing his thing, I felt like he was having the most fun in the room. Don't get me wrong, I love Bob Dylan and I've been going to his shows since the '70s, and it was great fun being there in that room with him. It just wasn't as much fun for me as, say, that guy from New Jersey when he comes to town.

Saw Bob Dylan for the 16th time at Chukchansi Park. The band really rocked tonight. Great rythym section. Most song selections were up-tempo and danceable. Bob spent most of the time behind the keyboards, but came out once or twice to play guitar. His voice was in fine form and he seemed to really be enjoying himself. Especially liked his phrasing during LARS. Did some things I've never heard before. All in all a wonderful evening...

Willie, John and Bob were all incredible. Although it was the first time I had seen the other guys, Bob has been, is and always will be my favorite singer/songwriter. His band is incredible, and his voice, articulating and reflecting the years and things he has survived, is still as strong as ever and hard as nails. His song choices spanned his career, from his second album to his most recent. The age of the audience ran the gamut from teens to old coots like myself but everyone seemed to really be in the zone in their own ways. Unlike the many other venues where I have seen him in the Atlanta area, there was very litte scent of herb in the air but lots of alcohol.

Like millions of others, I have been a total Dylan fan since I first heard him in the '60's and "got it", and I have never had a problem with the fact that he is constantly re-creating what he does and the myth of the public persona he presents to us. As another reviewer of the Alpharetta show has pointed out so well, as was ever thus, those seeking some nostalgia show where Bob will shuffle out and sing Blowin' in the Wind with guitar and harmonica ain't gonna happen --- although if it ever amuses him to do so, I'll be there. In reality, though, he still kicks ass like he did when Highway 61 Revisited first had needles dropped into its grooves and we all found ourselve suddenly awake and with no desire return to the stupor that our culture had wrought. If I can only see one artist live for the rest of my life, it will continue to be Bob.

This was my 47th Bob Dylan Show, and I was absolutely stunned and amazed at how great it was. I've learned to expect a great show from BD, but there was something about his energy on June 18, 2009 at Bethel Woods that put this show above most of those I have ever seen him perform. His voice was in excellent shape, and he appeared to be happier than I have ever before seen him on stage. He has been working with this particular line-up of bandmates for some time, and the group seems to have settled into a groove that bring out the best in his new material, as well as into new arrangements of time-tested works. Bob danced, posed, and punctuated rhythms with true showmanship and appeal.
The only thing I would warn people about is the venue. Leaving Bethel Woods is a lengthy process- there is only one lane exiting the driveway, and you have to sit in the driveway for a long time before you get to the single-lane egress. This is my second time to the venue, having seen BD there a couple of years ago, and they still haven't done anything to improve the traffic flow. I live nearby, but I won't go to Bethel Woods unless Dylan is there again, because a ten mile drive to Route 17 takes over an hour.

Willie opening was a real treat, yeah he is old, but can still get it. John Mellancamp was my reason for going and was awesome as usual! He still got the moves & that ass.. OMG! Dylan, well-- is Dylan. Started a little slow, ended with an amazing encore. He can still perform with that raspy unique voice. I am glad I went. Console Park was an awesome venue to watch a concert... it was very intimate, small crowd; I would recommend seeing a concert here.

Leon Russell did a bunch of covers. Poor sound system. No feedback with audience. Dylan mostly played keyboard mumbling through songs. Couldn't tell what song he was singing till halfway through the song. Terrible sound and the band seemed more like lets get this over with.

i saw dylan on his last visit to evansville,in. and he stunk, i had seen him before at the center and he sounded great, but on the last visit he was terrible, he played keyboards all night, played guitar on one song i think maybe two but the music was mostly unrecognizable until he would sing the corus lines. and one of my favorite songs tangled up in blue he skipped half the lyrics. On some of his classics like blowin in the wind and all along the watchtower they were terrible and unrecognizable. the sound was terrible the sound was too fuzzy and destorted, even leon russell's sound was destorted and russell played a lot of cover songs ,and he has a lot of great songs he didn't do but he was better than dylan. i would never pay to see dylan again, and i don't know who runs their sound but they need to take the headphones off and listen form the back of the places during sound checks if they still do them

What a huge disappointment - we were so excited to see a legend like Bob Dylan - unfortunately, he has forgotten what made him a legend. The song choices were horrible. We didn't expect to hear all the songs that made him famous, but a few would have been nice. The three that he did sing were unrecognizable. The only good thing I could say about the whole concert was that he can still play the harmonica.

Bob is over... can barely SPEAK the words, let alone sing.

Great band that he's assembled, but they are pretty Hard Rock -- reminds me of ZZ Top. So if that's what you'd like to hear, by all means go.

But if it is folksy Dylan you're seeking, buy another one of his CDs and chill at home with a loved one and memories.

It was absolutely the worst concert I have ever been to. I am 55 years old, and have loved Bob Dylan forever.....but......I'm sorry to say that I don't want to hear any "new" Bob Dylan, he doesn't have the voice left for "new" stuff. I wanted to hear the old songs and I'm sure everyone else did also.

I kept waiting for him to pick up an acoustic guitar, sit on a stool and sing the wonderful old songs.

Leon Russel's sound system was tinny and scratchy..... his voice and lyrics to the songs were not very clear. It would also really be considerate if the artists would at least speak to the audience if only to say "Hello, Thank You, and Goodbye". This goes for both Dylan and Russel. I still love those boys !!

Bob was excellent. I did hear a few people voice displeasure with the new arrangements to a lot of Dylan's best known songs. I actually liked the new twist.

Dylan's band are excellent musicians, as usual. Most of the arrangements are different enough from the usual that it takes at least a few bars to recognize the song. Dylan has worked on using what is left of his voice, and sounds pretty good.

Dylan and his band were fantastic. I have seen Dylan 170 times and this show ranks in my top 10! Dylan was articulating and singing with heart and soul and really getting down and into the groove.... The crowd was fantastic as well. I think an energetic crowd inspires Dylan to put on a great show and that is exactly what we got.
