dr john and the lower 911- excellent show

very good show in a great venue. small, intimate setting, the warm up, the sauce boss bill wharton was fun to watch and played a smokin' guitar. dr john was better than i thought and put on a great show. his backing band, the lower 911 were excellent musicians and the whole show, smelling the sauce boss' gumbo while listening to dr john had that great funky new orleans feel.

It was well worth the money to see a legend like Dr. John. He played duo piano/organ and kept the crowd moving the entire show. Love the crazy magenta socks and his band totally rocks!

Dr John was such a fun show! It felt a little like being in New Orleans. The bass player was also incredible. Go see him if you have the chance!
