Dokken put on a great show! played to the crowd, played all the hits, showcased the talents of the individual members...it was a great time had by all. Even got to meet all the members of the band after the show! All were super-nice! Parable Heresy was even pretty good, too!

At long last, I saw Dokken headlining in Pennsylvania!!!! I've been waiting to see them, since their initial breakup twenty years ago!! While not all albums were represented(1999's Erase The Slate, 2002's Long Way Home, and 2004's Hell To Pay), most of the essential Dokken classics were included in the set-"Into The Fire", "In My Dreams", "Alone Again", "The Hunter", "Breaking The Chains", etc. Perhaps, the most noticeable omission was "Dream Warriors"!
Surprisingly, they only played for approximately an hour-and fifteen minutes!! That seems a wee bit short for a headliner!! I saw them headlining the 2002 Metal Edge Rockfest at the Electric Factory, with Ratt, Warrant, Firehouse, and L.A. Guns. However, the show started as late as 8:30PM, so all five bands were restricted to an hour each!! It was also nice to see Dokken in such a small, intimate setting again! My only drawback with the club itself is that there was no seating indoors!!
Overall, if necessary, I would return to this venue to see Dokken, if they were unable to book a concert closer to Philadelphia! Many of the classic 80's heavy metal bands are active once again-Queensryche, Stryper, W.A.S.P., Anthrax, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc. Many continue to play the smaller venues. As long as they play within a reasonable distance, I intend to make the necessary effort to catch them live!!

Great show! Penn's peak was a nice venue. Sound quality was very good. Opening band was ok for me. Dokken were in top form. Don sounded great, as usual. Would go to this show over and over again.

As always, Dokken rocked and was a crowd pleaser! It was better seeing him at Penn's Peak, than the previous 2 places that I saw him, because there is more space ... so we did not have to be packed in like sardines in a can, and the sound seemed clearer!

He's the first to admit his age, but he still knows how to put on a great show. He and Mick Brown are the only two original members from the days of "Under Lock & Key" and "Tooth & Nail", etc. The new guitarist, I do not know his name, seems to be good guitarist, but hard to tell when you live under the "ghost" of George Lynch. The opening act, Spider Rockets could have been stronger. There are tons of lesser known bands such as Blacklist Union, Babylon Bombs, etc., that could have open the show and really put it over the top. Overall I would recommend seeing Dokken if you are fan, but don't be saddened by the lack of the original line-up. Great Job Don!

Dokken has long been one of my all time favorite bands and I never had the opportunity to see them. They certainly didn't disappoint. I am sure that anyone that knows their music was wondering how Johnny Levin would do replacing George Lynch-- He was absolutely incredible --I think he was better! The way the whole band befriended the crowd and just had fun let everyone there have fun and not feel like the band was just "going through the routine" Absolutely awesome! And you could not see Dokken in a better place than Penn's Peak, a close intimate setting where all the staff was very helpful and polite and the food at Roadies was excellent (I would highly recommend trying it before a show if you didn't)! I would love to see Dokken come back! Thank you to Dokken and Penn's Peak and Roadies for a great night out!

1st off, Penn's Peak is one of THE best places to see a show, bar none! It is a beautiful wooden chalet that sits upon the top of a mountain. Great place to go have dinner and some reasonably priced drinks on multiple decks overlooking an incredible valley. Once in the venue, there are NO bad seats whatsoever. It is small and intimate enough that you never feel far away and it is far enough removed from the city crowds (NY/ Philly) where you get a much more friendly, less jerked-off crowd... You can go into the pit and get right up near the stage and not get bashed into and have beer spilled on you every 2 seconds.
As for Dokken, he is getting up there in age, but he still gives it all he's got up there. He plays to the crowd, interacting frequently between songs. Also, Dokken plays all their big hits from the 80's and they put on a nice show that exceeds an hour and a half.
If I had one complaint, it would be that they did not have a strong supporting band... in fact, the opening act was horrible (The Spider Monkees, or something like that). At this time, Dokken does not have the following it had in the 80's and early 90's so they do not have the draw to fill the arenas alone. Penn's Peak only holds about 2500 people and it was about 3/4 empty. Next time, I would suggest they hook up with one of their fellow 80's bands and rock it out as a co-headlining gig... better for them and better for the fans!
However, for the real Dokken fans, this is certainly a treat... thus the 4 stars!

Went out to see Dokken in Lancaster, PA.
The show was great and the venue was great too.
Evalyn's Ashes opened and rocked the house too.
Chameleon Club is great because of its smaller size.
The bouncers aren't near as bad with the tudes as some places.
Wish Don would since Deam Warriors though :(
