The show at Alice Tully Hall last night was a great time enjoyed by an exclusive group of American Express card holders and friends. Jon Bon Jovi put on essentially a private showing with questions and answers from his Director and audience members at the end. The audience questions were mostly women who have fawned over Bon Jovi for 20 years and could barely keep it together when they got to ask Jon a question. He played 9 songs, all acoustic including Livin' on a Prayer.
You really got the feeling that this was a break from the 20,000 to 60,000 crowds he is used to playing in front of and he was able to really connect with his audience. He had 1,086 faces (audience size at ATH) and he rocked them all. Jon closed the show with "Wanted Dead or Alive" and said, "This one's for you Richie - where ever you are".
If you were a long time Bon Jovi fan, it was a personal experience not to forget.
After the show, all attendees received a nice gift bag with Jon's new Book, the new album, "The Circle" and the DVD Documentary, "When We Were Beautiful".
