We were very much looking forward to the show. It was my wife's first time in Toronto, and her first exposure to Blue Rodeo.
Unfortunately, the sound was perhaps the worst mix I've heard in 30+ years of attending live shows. The vocals were predominantly incomprehensible - and that completely ruined the evening. We were sitting just to the west of the board - which really made us wonder just what the sound staff was monitoring - it apparently wasn't the same as what we were hearing. Numerous others noticed and commented on the sound as well, and likely accounted for those we saw leaving throughout the show.
We hoped the mix would improve. It didn't. We paid $100 each for our tickets. We left early. That says it all.
I'm certain that Blue Rodeo and Steve Earle both put on fantastic live shows. It's a shame they were provided with an absolutely horrid sound job this night. Both Blue Rodeo and Steve Earle deserved better.

Favorite moment: Pre-show anticipation before we heard how bad the sound mix was. @
Setlist: Who knows? We couldn't understand most of the vocals. @
