I probably saw Blue Oyster Cult live for the first time in about 1976, and, ever since, I never miss an opportunity to catch them.
I have to say...last night's show was one of the strongest I've seen from these guys in quite some time. It's always a little sad to see Eric and Buck up there without Alan Lanier, but Richie Castellano is absolutely phenomenal, and brings something special to the lineup. The same can be said for Rudy Sarzo's bass playing.
It seems as though Eric is more and more content to let BOC be Buck's band, and most of the evening's highlights belonged to Buck ("Buck's Boogie," "Stone of Love" "Last Days of May"). Hey, the band has been together for close to four decades now; shifts in the dynamic are inevitable. But, the bottom line is always the same: BOC can still rock with the best of them.

Favorite moment: Hearing "Stone of Love" live; I think the band has only started playing it in concert during this tour. @
