I am 30 years old and love classic rock. I find myself listening to songs older than me quite often. It is the only music that is real to me. The Black Crowes give me hope that a band can just play from the soul and know that their fans will be there. Seeing The Crowes is a high in itself......................they are real.

The BCs have always been sort of in my peripheral vision, so I didn't know very much about them. But I was really glad to have seen this show. These guys are still in their prime.
Not sure I'm all that enamored of the venue, but the acoustics aren't bad for the warehouse building.

Great show in an intimate venue. Great vibe in the crowd, most of them movin' 'n' groovin'. List was a good mix of new and old, not a greatest hits tour, thank goodness. Love the gospel-blues-southern rock vibe the band provides live that doesn't always translate to an album. Always a must see live band in my book.

Hippy hair and fully-bearded as if to audition for Credence Clearwater, the Crowes took the stage in Seattle just after 8:30pm. The next :90 minutes were filled with unabashed dueling guitar solos, complete with slide, and alt.country rock chickin' pickin' deluxe! Chris Robinson's vocals were stellar, the drums and bassist locked in total synchronicity all night, and their little dorky keyboard dude even threw out a couple sweet ivory-tap sessions. The mix was sweet with vocals way out front; and the double, black babes belting out the harmony vocals in tandem put the authentic stamp of Southern Rock approval on the evening. They didn't have an opener, which I appreciated; and the single two-song encore left me semi-satisfied event though they did NONE of their hits (save "Jealous Again"). So, if you're a fair weather fan looking to sing along to "Remedy", "She Talks To Angels", and "Hard To Handle", then save your $36 and $12 donation to TicketMaster ($48 total ticket tally). If you love the Crowes, dig the new album and War Paint; then you'll love this show. It was a pleasure to stand 15' feet from the stage, rather than watch a big screen from 100 yards away like at the White River Amphitheater in 2006. Thumbs way up for the HUGE band at the SMALL venue.

Great venue - great band - great friends - great night. The Black Crowes rocked the Showbox Sodo in Seattle last night. I was only familiar with about half the songs on their setlist, and it was still amazing. Unlike most bands, you don't have to know their songs to enjoy the music. Showbox Sodo is my favorite live music venue in Seattle. Easy access from I-5 - close, inexpensive parking ($6 directly across street from venue), great friendly staff, cool respectful security, large open relaxed atmosphere, inexpensive drinks, and great sound. Black Crowes brought their "A" game and rocked for nearly 2 hours. They appear to be loving the music as much as the audience. Loved every minute of it.

These guys rock. They bring joy to an audience that appreciates Gibson-based interplay, improvisation, and variety. This is no act -- they are musical artists.

I like the band. Unfortunately, you couldn't hear any of the vocals due to the sound set up. I don't know why the sound guy didn't fix it as the show progressed. Spoiled an otherwise good show.

The show was excellent. The Crowes are definitely on these days. Everyone is coming together musically, the latest double album is phenomenal, and Chris' vocals have never sounded better.
If I could have changed one thing about the show, I wish the Crowes would take a quick glance at the setlists they played the previous year or two they come to a city. I'm a diehard Crowes fan and would like to see some different songs played. They have so many in their catalog. Wounded Bird is a case in point. I think they played that one the last 2 or 3 times they've come through St. Louis. Good song, but I'd also like to hear some of their others. I gotta say too, I thought the encore was a bit of a disappointment. I guess you can't go wrong with Remedy, but I think they should have at least played 2 or 3 songs for the soldout crowd. Overall though, great show!

I bought these tickets for my husband for his birthday. I like the Black Crowes, too, but I'm not so much a fan that I know any current music of theirs. I love their older music, however. We were VERY disappointed that they didn't play any of their older music until the last song - remedy - and they only played one. I think they are very good musicians, but I also didn't like the fact that some of their songs had VERY long instrumentals. It seemed the songs would last at least 15 minutes. They would never end and I was always hoping that the next song would be an older song like Hard to Handle. Come on . . . . why wouldn't they play the older songs, too???

Luther Dickinson stole the show. KSHE needs to start playing the music from his real band, the North Mississippi Allstars. They are kicking ass in college towns and college stations all across the nation.

chris and the guys ( and gals ) always put on a great show. the guys from the mississippi all stars are a perfect fit with the crowes. Luther, on guitar, had the hair standing up on the back of my neck. set list was a perfect flow. only wish they would have played longer. they have too many great tunes . cant be squeezed into a two hour show

I have waited to see the crows for years, and I feel that they are to the 90's what the stones were to the 60's and aerosmith or Zepplin to the 70's a band that 10-20 years from now you will want to say " I saw them Live" and so I took my whole family wife and kids. it was a great show the band was great and the addition of Luther from the NMA on guitar adds a great guitar tone to their sound. My only low points were the sounds mix was muddy at times, and I would loved to have heard a few more from Shake your money maker and the Southern Harmony CD's. The new material is good and a show that is in my opinion a Must see!!
