Yes, these two men are older but they did a great job at belting out the tunes! It seems like thier performance was too short the audience was left wanting more and when the house lights went on all were disappointed. This is why I do not like San Manuel Casino as a venue to see a show! The seats are all at the same view level, because they use the bingo hall for shows. With all the money they are making they need to invest in a real nice theatre like Pechanga in Temecula! Now that's a place to see a show!

Chuck Berry can still play the guitar. The crowd was all ages and they all enjoyed the show and venue. Chuck Berry's son and daughter are fabulous musicians.

What can you say about Chuck Berry. 80+ years old and still full of life. I really enjoyed it because I had a seat. If I had to stand the whole time, as half the crowd did, I would not have enjoyed it as much. Very small venue so you had to get there very early and wait in line to ensure a seat. I would have appreciated non-smoking as well, but fortunately very few lit up.

At 82, Chuck Berry still puts on a great show. He sings and plays with enthusiasm and works to interact with the audience. The show was loads of fun.
Chuck is showing his age a little. A couple times he forgot the words, but his band and the crowd kept the show going and he recovered nicely without much fanfare.
This show is well worth the $30 price of admission

Seeing Chuck was wonderful but the show could have used some polish. The supporting band members were very bad and did not play well with Chuck. It is amazing that he got through the show with them! I blame management for this. B.B. King Club should have more quality control over the acts that perform there. If they provide musicians to play with Chuck, then they should be good musicians

Yes, Chuck was out of tune 70% of the time. And yes, he forgot some of the words and cut many of the songs short. And yes, the last number with the audience participants dancing on stage was incredibly lame. But you know what? I still think this was one of the most important nights of my adult life. I am almost 66 years old and Chuck Berry has been there for me for as long as I can remember. I last saw him live in 1963 at a fraternity party and he was great (sang all the favorites, duck-walked and played his guitar like nobody's business).
I smiled all the way through the show and felt totally happy just being in the same room with him. His music has meant a lot to me and always will. There's nobody like him. What more can you say about a living legend! So I forgive his 83-year old shortcomings and say "Thank you B.B. King's" for giving me and my brother the chance to see our idol one more time. It made both of us feel great.
And if I could make a suggestion -- get him a digital tuner (I'll be glad to buy it and send it to him). It's obvious he's lost his hearing and this will make life a lot easier for him and the audience.
Thanks again. It was a big thrill. I'm looking forward to seeing more shows at the Club.

It took 20 minutes before Chuck realized that his instrument was out of tune. When he finally tuned it; it was still out of tune. The show lasted an hour (for $95 standing room); and Chuck was out the door on the button; no encore. But in this case, the end was welcome.

Chuck Berry is still ornery, and "brings it" on stage, though it took a few songs to get into the groove with his band on Sat. night (9/12/09) at BB King's in NYC.
A photographer, backstage, distracted the King of Rock 'n Roll, and Chuck's ire towards the offender probably fired him up and helped kick-start the show. Also, once the pianist proved his mettle, Chuck seemed to relax and strut his stuff, while the entire backing band (piano, bass, drums), finally managed to play in the right key which was not the case early in the set.
Chuck no longer duck-walks, but he shakes his thang, plays his licks, and was engaging and humorous. "Carol," "Nadine," and "Johnny B. Goode" were particluar highlights, and he nailed 'em.

Chuck Berry is the icon of rock and roll. Any chance to see the man whose songs and talent altered the course of music should be taken. Chuck Berry is more than a legend, he is a great musician. I enjoyed the show tremendously.

It was impressive to see Chuck Berry in person, but one should not forget that he is already 83 years old.
That was certainly impacting his now limited Guitar playing capabilities , but the voice was still good, although songs were slower sung then you are used to them from the old records.
The show lasted just one hour, but i guess more was not possible for Chuck anyway.
