This was at the Mountain Winery - not exactly a place people rock out and start dancing around, but they did well with the venue. Enjoyed the whole show, not sure why we never seem to get anything off Whammy, but they have lots of material and it's never dull. My boyfirend managed to sit through the concert in the front row (he was the only person sitting as far as I could tell, but he's sort of awkward about the display of dancing or singing in a crowd), but he did manage to get the only guitar pick that went out to the audience.

The show was okay, amazing venue, but half the time it felt like the band wasn't really into the show - like they were just doing it because they were told they had to or something. I felt like they were yawning/rolling their eyes half the time. It was a little disappointing because I saw them 10+ years ago and it was a completely different show. Some of the songs they picked were pretty weird too, don't know why they didn't play more of their popular songs (like Channel Z, Dead Beat Club?).

Overall, a great concert. First band started late, not cool....they were pretty good though once they got going. The sound was too loud for the B52's, my ears still haven't recovered. We sat in the first row of the loge section, great seats but the sound came straight at us, it was so loud we couldn't appreciate how great their voices were since the sound was so blasted loud!!

This was the first time to see the B-52s live. I know-what's wrong with me. If you haven't been, GO! The girls' voices are amazing! The whole group looked liked they were having a great time. The crowd was funky but fun! I can't wait to go see them again!

What a show! Great segues between tunes with phenomenal energy by Kate and super timing by Campbell on drums. Keith is amazing as a guitarist and all gave a first-rate show. Fred seemed preoccupied periodically but perhaps it is just his stage presence or performance approach.

This show totally rocked!!! This was the first time I ever saw the B52s in concert and I'm so glad I finally got the chance. I was really impressed by how powerful all their voices still are and they had tones of energy and seemed to be having a great time on stage which made the whole experience very sweet too.

I've been to about five B-52's concerts and this one was, hands down, the best ever! Seeing them in a small venue is awesome.
Keith rocked his guitar and those good looks. Cindy was on-fire. She was workin' that crowd to no end in her black vinyl "Folsom Street Fair" dress. Her stage presence was at 100% for this show. Kate was amazing as always. And Fred. He never disappoints. He was funny as hell, prancing around stage occasionally like a speed-walker training for a race. He even came out on stage with this jacked-up wig and sunglasses while impersonating a party-crasher for "Party Out of Bounds"
As per usual, B-52's fans are always amazing. No drama, shoving, etc. Just smiles and screams.
They play in Novato, CA (45 min. north of San Francisco) on Saturday night. If you missed this show, I recommend you don't miss that one.
Who knows? Maybe they will grace us with a stroll down Folsom Street on Sunday afternoon during the Folsom Street Fair.

Overall, the show was what I expected. They did a fairly short set of standard hits, with a few lyrical changes to fit the SF area. Kate was her enthusiastic self, Fred was classic deadpan, Cindy was perky and enthusiastic and Keith just rocked. I saw them in Marin about a year ago and Kate had a sore throat and tried to be a trooper, but just didn't have it.
The only problem was the sound. Why is it that the guys on the sound board think that louder is better. It's called a mixing board for a reason. The vocals were completely washed out by the music. My ears are still ringing.

They were great! Fred looked as if he was going through the motions at times but, overall he appeared to be having fun. Cindy and Kate...What can you say? They're harmony is impeccable. Keith can still jam and looks the same...no aging.
The sound? WAY TOO LOUD and overmodulated at times. I'm a mixer and let me tell you, this guy made the vocals muddy and too much mids going. Very hot and for that venue, was completely unnecessary. They need a new sound man!!!

What a great night! The B's put on a rockin' show - so much fun. They sounded better than ever and played a superb variety of their tunes - well known and the obscure, which was great for the die hard fans. We loved everything about it and just wished they would play on and on and on. All expectations for a fun concert were exceeded!!

I've seen the B-52's 30 times over the past 30 years. Have never seen Cindy so animated and amazing and playing to the crowd like she did on Friday. The band was great as per usual but Cindy was the stand out performer this time. Her rendidtion of the ballad Give Me Back My Man was nothing short of amazing with the way she engaged the audience; so animated and vocally perfect, even her changing the one word in Fun House was off the wall and kept the fun and excitement of her performance fresh and new!
Can't wait for the next time!

I loved the show. The House of Blues is a great place to see a concert and the B-52's rocked the house. I sang and danced for an hour straight. I loved every minute of the concert. They still sound great! My friends and I try to see the B-52's every year. I love, love, love the music! Thank you House of Blues and thank you to the B-52s for such a great night! I highly recommend seeing this concert again at the HOB.

I was pleasantly surprised by the energy and quality of the opening act from Chicago. I hope they will make it to central IL. I was not disappointed in the performance of the B-52's in the least... my only criticism lie with the venue itself and the odd, secret, tiered seating system.
