Well, only one of the original members were there, but the band was phenomenal! Love the old school stuff, it brought back many memories. They were really tight. Mo Pleasure was on keyboards and bass, Brent Carter was excellent on vocals. Onnie was out sick.

The concert was unforgettable!!!!!! I've seen and been a fan over time....from the beginning to now. This is by far the best ensemble since the original group;they sounded awesome! I thought Brent Carter was great with Tower of Power and now he's just as good with AWB. We had dinner at the venue before the show and the food was delicious.And last but not least.......DJ Soul Sister was a very,very good opening DJ.

My best friend of 46 years bought me a ticket for my birthday. I have never been to the Birchmere nor have I been to an AWB concert. The instruments were awesome as well as the vocal part. I was able to eat good food, drinks and dance the night away.

I am absolutely impressed with AWB they do not disappoint! Everything was on point, music and vocals. I loved every song. Just wished they would have performed "Play that Funky Music" and "If I Ever Lose this Heaven" but I am still pleased! Can't wait to see them again!

I have seen them many times over the years. This was a great show however it was 90 minutes and I felt a little cheated. I will still see them in concert as this is the first time this has ever happened. They usually give two hours (or at least it felt like it).

I caught AWB at Birchmere and as usual...they delivered! I have enjoyed their shows since I first saw them in 1978. The songs and that unmistakable AWB classic groove remains as funky as it was some 35 years ago!

One of the best parts of the show was when the only original member of AWB that was present, Alan Gorrie, said that although he wasn't feeling well, he wouldn't miss playing for the Birchmere crowd for "anathing" (said with his Scottish accent). The relationship the band has with their DC fans is as great an experience as the music! AWB is as talented and in the groove as ever.

AWB did not disappoint. AWB played all their hits.
Band comes to the Birchmere annually and I never miss a show.
From the beginning to the end, I could not stop dancing in my seat. And the Birchmere is the best venue to see jazz musicians and musical talent. The food is delicious and you can enjoy libations at your table during the show. What more could you want???

Love the Birchmere's intimate setting...we were right in front-1st table from stage in the middle...they were excellent! Music was terrific! I just wish they would have played a few more of their hits!! But, LOVED the show!!!

While the rest of the audience seemed enraptured, I wasn't. Fill in guitar player, sick bassist/vocalist. A going through the motions, touch all the bases show. But the crowd certainly enjoed it, and that's important..
