What the band played was OK, what they didn't play was my problem. I'm guessing they're catering to their fan base now, the under 20's rock and roll crowd, but they are not going to win back fans they had in the 70's and 80's by excluding their popular hits like
"Bad Side of the Moon" and "I'm on Fire for you Baby" or "Fast Train" or "Rock n Roll is a Vicious Game" or "Coming Right Down on Top of Me" . They didn't play "Doing it Right" or "I'm Alive" or even "You Won't Dance with Me". Their ballads didn't seem to pass the criteria for today's concertgoers.
I'm thinking it could simply be because some of those songs included keyboards or a third guitar, but that doesn't really cut it. What they did play was good in a venue that supplied less than ideal acoustics (the Music Hall would have been better), but it could be so much more.
