Entire show I was on my feet. Songlist was perfect (tho a Statesboro blues or Whipping post would have been sweet)
Derek Trucks had spectacular tone/phrasing

THe sound was only ok. Up in the balcony, the only time we heard the bass guitar or drums was during their solos. Warrens voice was muffled, so it was a good thing I knew the words to the songs. You would think after all the previous shows they perforrmed that month, the sound would have been "dialed in."

Great show: song selection, mood and execution were tremendous. Dreams and Whipping Post were a couple highlights. It was great to see Jessica. Trumpet (Maurice from TTB) figured out how to fit it nicely into Dreams. it was a guitar dual by a couple of friends. Warren had a really cool melodic approach to his leads.

The Allman Bros. never disappoint. However, they started 40 minutes late, they took a 40 minute break, and ultimately they played less time than usual. Furthermore, since it was their last show I was expecting a big name musician like Eric Clapton to show up. They did play "Can't Find My Way Home," which was awesome, but I was expecting a better show overall.

Best ABB Beacon show I've seen since '06. Gregg's voice is back, his health is back, and he's hitting all the cues. The past couple of years have been tough on Gregg due to health issues but he's back now and stronger than I've seen him in several years. And now that the rest of the band no longer has to concern themselves with watching/covering for Gregg they can now focus on what they're doing...and it's magical once again. Even Jaimoe had a bit more pizazz than usual.
The Beacon Run has spoiled me and I don't usually head out to see the ABB during summer shed tours but if they're going to play like this then I'm gonna scrounge for whatever tickets I can find.

Not Rock, not Roll, not Blues, not Jazz... it's everything. You've got to see this show, preferably at the Beacon. Acoustics unparalleled, intimate venue. But I don't want to generate too much buzz, 'cause I want to see two shows March 2013!

Gregg was energetic and into it. Derek and Warren truly set a new standard for brilliant. The Beacon faithful provided the energy and ABB delivered!!

Last night at the Beacon and was truly a wonderful concert. Getting to see this band in a venue of this size was worth every penny.

Got to the Beacon early, 1st 2000 people were to get Gregg's autobiography. Was maybe the 20th person through the door. Left without a book! A little disappointed being we made sure we were there to receive one!! Our seats were great, until we sat down to having our view obstructed from the lighting and poles holding it. See attached photo... Saw them with Santana at the PNC in Holmdel last summer and they were awesome, the sound here was a bit muddled. All in all I really enjoyed them even though the 7pm show started around 7:40 and there wasn't an opener. Will definitely see them again, but outside (or at the Beacon I'd have to have seats in the loge).

I had a long way home traveling back from Tel Aviv. I decided to make it a long weekend in NYC and go see the Allman Brothers the night before I left. Surely worth the small detour. Thanks guys!

It was one of The Brothers' best music sets I remember and they've been a big part of my musical life since the late Sixties and the Filmore East. The Easter Show experience at the Beacon is always great and the venue has a terrific staff. Jimmy Vivino's guitar was awesome as expected, but his vocals were incredible on Can't Find My Way Home. I seen Alecia Chakour often with Warren and Gov't Mule. She fit in nicely between Derrick & Warren's riffs on River's Gonna Rise
One Downer: This show was shorter than I expected. They moved the start time up from 8:00 to 7:00. I get that they have to pay for the overtime after 11:00, but didn't go on till 7:45 and ended it at 10:48. However it was one great song after another and just an amazing show.

Went to NYC for St Pats weekend to see the Allman Bros @ the Beacon. First time there & it is an amazing venue. ABB still amazes me, musicians can just get better with age. The first set had several songs I wasn't familiar with but was really good. They opened the 2nd set with Gregg on acoustic guitar with Derek doing Melissa. They did a great cover of Blind Faith's Can't Find My Way Home. They finished up with Dreams with a trumpet solo & Whipping Post just rocked it. If you love ABB make the trek to the Beacon to see them at their best.

Hadn't seen the Allmans in maybe 35 years(?) and was very impressed with the newer band, what musicianship, updates with the old songs but still keeping the essense . The version of Can't Find My Way home was incredable with Jimmy Vivino stepping up for vocals and guitar-amazing really. Enjoyed duly!

Show was excellent as usual. Saw them last year with Santana at a larger venue. The Beacon is a great place to see anyone because of the size and acoustics. Dont miss the Allmans next time around.
