I have always been a fan on the cheesy Vegas lounge scene, and jumped at the chance to see Wayne Newton. Sadly, I was unaware that he'd lost his voice. The man looked good and played a whole host of instruments. However, when it came to singing, his pipes were just shot. That being said, I enjoyed meeting him and thoroughly enjoyed the show. The best part was watching all the old, blue-haired ladies swooning for him. The parts where he sings with tapes of other dead Vegas performers like Sammy and Dean was a little odd, but strangley touching. Definitely for the older, more forgiving crowds. Would I recommend it? Only if you are a die-hard Wayne fan. I feel I spent more money to see it than I should have. About $150 per person including the meet and greet.
