The ultimate performer. What a show! Johnny Mathis sang all his greatest hits and I was in heaven. His voice was smooth and the guy still can hit those high notes. Being at this concert was a dream come true. I'm so glad he played to a small audience as well - it was definitely more intimate.

i was amazed that johnny's voice was as great as it was back in the 50s & 60s. his backup orchastra was also terrific. this was a great concert.!!mudeer the comedian was hillarious.

A Johnny Mathis concert could be used as an exemplar for young artists to follow. He takes the stage with half a century of experience and is much appreciated by the audience. It is clear that he works hard to sound and look as he does and the effort pays off. The crowd was transfixed by time seeming to stand still as he performed a number of hits and other songs. As the show starts, Mathis walks out, starts singing and surprises people who haven't seen him perform before. A few words and then he sings until it is time for the comedian. Mathis returns for the second half and sings both on his own and accompanied by his long time guitar player. It is a rare treat to see a large orchestra on stage and his conductor/pianist does a great job.

The venue had some sound problems. There was an audible buzz at a few points. It detracted slightly from the beautiful music but couldn't ruin the pleasure of hearing that timeless voice.

The show was simply GREAT!! Johnny Mathis' performance was superb. He looked fantastic and his voice was awesome!! He is such a gentleman. The whole orchestra sounded absolutely beautiful.

I was thrilled with the show. We had great seats and the performance was great. The comedian he had had us laughing so hard we were crying. All in All it was well worth it and I would do it again in an instant.

The Johnny Mathis concert held at the FM Kirby Center on Novemember 8th wasa night to remember. I went through adolecence listening to his music. On ocassion I,ve attended his concerts, purchased his albums, CD's and am genuinely a big fan of his musical abilities. At 74 years young he still posseses the ability to hypnotiz the audience with his vocal delivery of any tune. This concert brought back fond memories for both my wife and I as I proposed to her in a restaurant to one of his most popular songs "Misty".

I am truly blessed to have been able to both see and listen to Johnny Mathis at this memorable concert.

My husband and I were thrilled to be able to see Johnny Mathis last night in Wilkes-Barre, PA. You just can't go wrong with Johnny Mathis or any of the other singers from our era. Most of today's music is absolute garbage and you cannot understand a word the singers are saying.

We had been to the F.M. Kirby Center twice to see Engelbert Humperdink and he too was fantastic. We would very much like to see more of the singers from our era as well as Celine Dion abd Reba McIntire.

I was very disappointed in the show, Mr. Mathis did not respond to the audience, he looked and sounded like he wanted to be somewhere else, he couldn't talk and he certainly couldn't walk without stumbling. He looked like he was in a daze. The rest of the show carried Mr. Mathis, the comedian was great, but my money was wasted, I certainly would not recommend this show to anyone. I saw Mr. Mathis many years ago in Scranton and he was wonderful. Age has certainly affected him.

Setlist: MISTY, It's No for me To Say...Most of all wanted to hear "That Sunday, That Summer AND Listen Lonely Girl...sorry I did not get either one, so today I played them at home. LOVE when he sings "BRAZIL" just as good as Ever!! @

These memories are time that I borrow, so I can use them when I get to TOMORROW!!. I have not seen Johnny in 45 yrs. Sold his music for 25 yrs. Brought lots of memories back.
Johnny will NEVER KNOW the ways he has NURTURED me through out my yrs. Has brought alot of comfort thru the many hard times. Still play his music ALL THE TIME!!
I LOVE the Kirby Center...nice atmosphere. Nice seeing so many people who still appreciate the good music.
I cried as soon as I saw him, I LOVE HIM for all that his music does for the listeners and I am sure he had heard that a MILLION times.
THANK YOU F.M..Kirby Center for having him. He is still the BEST in my books.,

Took my mother to see Mr. Mathis. Have seen him a few times. He was excellent this time as always. What a classy guy! Looked sharp! May've been suffering a cold (or just getting older), but his voice seemed a little raspy. However, he made my mom swoon like a young girl! HA HA
The commedian was also very funny!
My only wish would be that he'd come back to do a Christmas concert!

He was great!!! Such a smoooth silky voice. He looked and sounded the same. He brought me back to all those make out parties listening to him as a teenager. As usual he was just non stop chatter... talking talking talking. (only kidding) He is in a class by himself. There is no other MALE singer that comes close to him. He can still sing it all. I would go to see him again in a minute.

The stand up comedian in the middle of the show was a great idea. The Kirby is such a great place to see a show, it offers such intimacy and great acoustics.

This may be one of the best concerts I've ever attended. Johnny looked great and he sounded as good as ever. Many times older performers depend on their past glory and don't give current concerts very much effort, often depending on the audience to carry much of the load of the performance. Johnny walked out and launched directly into song. So handsome and elegant and looking 20 years younger than he is. I was transported back to my youth when I had a mad crush on him. His entire spirit filled the Mansion auditorium and every person in the room was enthralled. It was an honor to be in the room.
