Not only did we enjoy the show entirely. The non stop performance that she did was just unbelievable. She did not even drink water. Judy is 71, and her voice has remained the same for all these years! She did a vast array of songs ranging from Christmas Carols, to childrens lullabys. And of course the standard favorites. I would go an see her again. Audience participation was great!

Favorite moment: When she sang Send in the Clowns was my favorite moment!! Also, good was the Beatles, In My Life!! She can sustain notes beautifully!! @

This was one of the very best concerts I have been to in a long time. Judy is lovely, tells great stories and still hits the high notes.

This was the fourth time I've seen Judy Collins in concert, and thanks to the wonderful staff at the Stiefel (and the kindness of the singer herself), it was the most memorable. Ms. Collins looked and sounded gorgeous as ever, and her accompanist and backing vocalist, Russell Walden, sounded great. Seeing them from the second row would have made the eight-hour round trip worth the effort, but for me, the real highlights of the evening were just before the show -- when my friend, his girlfriend and I were permitted to stand in the lobby and listen to that clear, effortless mezzo-soprano voice float through the building during the sound check -- and just after the show, when we were part of a small group of people invited to the greenroom to meet Ms. Collins. I am never, ever starstruck by anybody, but one look from those famous, haunting blue eyes, and I was well and truly dazzled. I'm amazed I kept it together enough to speak in complete sentences. What a night!

Her voice is still beautiful. She is accessible and chats with the audience about her story, and breaks into beautiful song to illustrate a point. She weaves a story that captivates the audience, and her voice soars and takes you with it.

I have seen many concerts, but no artist has had as beautiful a voice in concert as on her recordings. It blew me away. I could do without quite so much of the talking and name dropping between songs, but I can see where a lot of people would enjoy that. Judy has such an amazing history in folk music. The pianist was stellar and I also enjoyed that Judy played the piano for some songs. I have loved her for many years and am so excited that I was able to see her live.

Judy is playing Lubbock Friday night, I posted this in their newspaper story about it:

I hate to say it, I feel cheated.
She didn't sing SOMEDAY SOON, BOTH SIDES NOW, LAST THING ON MY MIND. Any of them!
The second half of the show, she played what sounded like a medley that went on forever, songs I'd never heard, at least ten minutes of it. Website says one of the five songs in the medley was about her mother, who didn't die of Alzheimers. Or something like that. As I'd never heard the lyrics before, they sounded like screeching, it quickly began to grate.
She didn't sing SOMEDAY SOON, BOTH SIDES NOW, LAST THING ON MY MIND. And a bunch of others I was expecting.
GARDEN PARTY notwithstanding, come on, how can she NOT sing SOMEDAY SOON!
I'm posting this mostly so somebody will tell her before she goes on stage Friday night in Lubbock ... she sings them or she doesn't get paid.
I'd looked forward to this for months. I'd seen her in the mid 80's, she was fantastic. This may have been the single most disappointing concert I've ever been to. And that includes one where George Jones sang like a duck!

Judy Collins' midweek turn at the old Lakewood Theater far exceeded expectations. She HAS to be mid-70s, we kept thinking, but so what? The voice remains as clear as a crystal bell and reverberates forever. Judy is relaxed and authoritative. She breaks it with an intermission but there are two sections on guitar and piano and the break is logical. The songs are mostly -- but not all -- memorable oldies, but the renderings are, if anything, more soulful, mature and interpretive. When she talked of sitting out in the hall listening to Dylan compose "Tambourine Man" and then broke into it, I could have listened all night.

SHE was AMAZING!!! The PA MIX?? What "MIX"? There was ONLY GUITAR, PIANO, and HER VOCAL. Not TOO tricky.............MIX? Had her VOCAL and LITTLE else and THAT was TOO loud AT FIRST........and it was not warmed up SO SOME GUITAR and PIANO would have been welcomed by all I Believe. I asked the lady of the house and she said he was w/ the band......OK..........who knows. My bona fides? Head ROAD audio enginneer for Steely Dan, Rare Earth, the Doobies................ETC. early '70's........Showco befor that......................too bad, what a waste..............shame really, the lady deserves better.
Pass this on to whoever can get it to her OR the PIANO MAN????? Hell, I'll go on the road w/ her for FREE if wanted!!! REGARDS JIM "FITZ" Fitzgerald

If you closed your eyes, you would never believe that the voice you were hearing was 72 years old. Judy's voice hasn't changed since I first heard her on LP in the early 60's. She is beautiful with flowing white hair and was funny with her anecdotes of her first meetings with the likes of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. She sang songs old and new and the crowd sang along when she asked us to, and when she didn't. It was just an amazing evening. I would love to see her again! And again!

She is utterly amazing! Still as beautiful as ever. One of the truest and clearest voices ever. A fabulous guitarist, gifted pianist, a political comentator, and a great stand-up comic. Who knew?

Judy Collins presented her musical talent as expected but she was also entertaining and witty. I enjoyed her wonderful stories about herself and fellow musicians. A greater than expected experience!

The advertising for the event seemed poor. I spoke to somebody yesterday who would have loved to have gone and couldn't believe she was appearing live.

I have always loved Judy Collins' singing and music. I guess one should expect voice changes...voices not as remember. I still loved the songs and music, but some notes were tough to hear. I would consider the venue...metal chairs with gel pads constructed together, having to sit with no chair arms and very little comfort, no elevations of seats...thankfully no one sat in front of me, although there were the windshield washer heads and audience members humming and singing along during times they weren't asked to do so. Also, there was some incessant talking, at times. Of course, audiences had nothing to do with Judy Collins. I enjoyed the event. It will stay in my memories of the days gone by. Thank you, Judy Collins, for Ll the beautiful music of my youth.

Didn't know she is so funny. Made me think how often we waste time with things we get wrapped around or find wrapping around us. She just dismissed it all with "Stephen doesn't care...I don't care." Still sings with the richest, clearest voice ever heard. Like an hour and a half in meditation to refill your spirit.
