I allways wanted to see Willie in concert so when i heard he was playing in Columbus i didnt hesitate in buying tickets. I didnt care that it was 3 hours away from home. The show was awsome. He played for about 2 hours and never really stoped. He played all of my favorite songs and more.

While in Columbus a friend and I discovered that Willie was playing that evening and decided that we might as well get tickets if we could and were stunned to get row four center stage. Even better was the fact that Willie is on top of his game right now. I had no idea how talented his guitar playing really is until about half way through the first solo he played.
This is a must see show for any rock or country fan. Willie is a very gifted musician who is most certainly performing at the very height of his powers right now

The show was exceptional. I did not know he mastered the guitar so well. I understand how his son achieved his guitar playing ability. Mr. Nelson had full control of the audience. He worked the audience into a frenzy at times and calmed them down with ballads and love songs. I liked seeing the lone star state flag drop intermittently during certain songs. I heard a combination of country, blues, even a little rock and gospel as well. He played a lot of songs and his voice was excellent. He signed a lot of autographs toward the front of the stage from end to end (something I wouldn't have expected). The show was much more than I expected and (to me) he is a guitar virtuoso as he truly mastered the fundamentals and effortless movement of his fingers. He played with a lot of passion and there was humor along the way in many of his songs
(eg. I ain't superman and You don't laugh at my jokes any more.

Wanted to see Willie once Live before it was too late. Show was OK, Willie has gotten old and not what he oncce was. He messed up a couple of songs, just laughted a little and said I lost my place and kept going. Disappoint he didn't play songs that I knew and liked until about the last 20 minutes of the show.

I thought the show was a real treat. Ronnie McCoury is absolutely one of the most amazingly tasteful mandolin players out there. I was in the bathroom and heard a gentleman saying he has never been so disappointed in a concert. Then when I walked out, there was another guy trying to get his money back because the billing didn't say Willie Nelson performs bluegrass. I have seen Willie many times in many settings. The ability to change depending on your environment is a sign of a true artist. I thought the show was intimate and fitting for the venue.

The opening act had some pretty good bluegrass. Willie's set had some good songs. The fiddle player was very good, and Willie still has that great voice. But it would have been much better if he had sung a lot more of his "hits". He only sang three songs that could be called his greatest. Its the only time I've seen him in person and I was looking forward to hearing a lot of the great songs he's known for.

We came expecting to hear some traditional Willie songs. The songs he sang were good, but not recognizible to us. I have a great Willie album (The Essential Willie) and would have liked to have heard some songs that we could sing/ hum along with.

I attended the Willie Nelson concert at the Ryman in Nashville last night. It was not a "typical" Willie show - no "and Family." Instead, Willie used a group of Nashville session musicians &/or members of other bands as his backup (including Ronnie McCoury from the Del McCoury Band and Jim Lauderdale). And instead of his usual songs, he sang hits from other artists. And it was a GREAT show. Willie may be 76 years old, but he's still "got it." Charisma, voice, and guitar playing on "Trigger!" He did a 75-minute show, and then signed autographs from the stage for 15 minutes. AWESOME!

The 45 minute wait between the opening act and Willie's was unbearable! And then Willie only performed for 1 hour. I was looking forward to hearing lots of the songs he was famous for but was treated to a show performance that included songs I had never even heard before. I was disappointed

What do I need to say, Willie is an American Legend. He was fantastic! My father is 78, has had several strokes and spends most of his time sleeping. He was so excited that we were going to see Willie Nelson, he stayed awake for the entire show and was slapping his knee to the beat, almost the whole show. Willie YOU ARE THE BEST!!

I was excited when Whiskey River came on however quite disappointed for the next hour when songs by greats such as Porter Wagner, and Vern Gosdin were played over and over and over. Willie continued to play songs by others which weren't nearly as good as the massive catalog of hits he has amassed over the years. I went with the intentions of him singing his own songs not songs by others. I also noticed many people with indicating the same to me. Maybe I am being unfair here but I feel like for the first time at a Willie Nelson show I did not get my money's worth.
