It was great concert and the sound in Jack Singer was excellent. Emmy even made mention of what a beautiful building it was. Her back up was excellent and we had a great time.

What a great evening - we were treated to Ms. Harris' signature angel vocals, and a small but very accomplished troupe of musicians to show them off. Buddy Miller as our 'warm up' act was a real treat - ashamed to say I didn't know his music, but will be shopping hard for more of this smooth bluesman. These two clearly have spent some time around each other - talented and respectful. Nothing fussy or over the top, they just let the music and masterful playing (vocals included) stand on their own. Loved every minute, thanks for taking it on the road for us faithful fans! Jack Singer is the perfect venue for such a high quality act!

In these times of music performance as spectacle, it is nice to have some alternatives; in this case, really fine musicians coming together to simply make really fine music. Emmylou Harris and her band provide this kind of performance, and last night those of us who were there had the opportunity to see and hear a band at play. What is wonderful about Emmylou is here incredibly familiar songlist, but more important, her's is music made by people for people -- not avitars making music for a consuming audience which themselves are commofied.
