Great show. I took my mother for her birthday. The show started on time & ran for 2 1/2 hours. Even though he is recovering from back surgery he still had a great show. He can still pick that guitar like he was young again. This show took me back to my childhood. Really glad I got to see him.

I can say I've seen Roy Clark in concert. I just can't say that I recognized him as the Roy Clark I knew. He can't sing anymore and his keyboard player with help from other band members had to pull him through the show. I'm not necessarily disappointed, I know how old he is, but his skills have dropped off more than I imagined. His opening acts became the headliners and Roy became a prop. Their scripted jokes and banter were not even presented smoothly. It kind of sad, really. An act better left retirement communities and nursing homes.

While Roy Clark's friends were great, Roy himself was sad to see. He was never known for his singing, and his voice has deteriorated. Saddest to see, however, was how lost he was on stage. Most of the time he seemed clueless as to what was going on around him and what notes he should be playing. The band was great and clearly very talented as they did their best to guide Roy into the music. If you love fiddle music, there's some of the best you'll hear, but it won't be from Roy. Our audience had plenty of people who clearly love Roy, If you're one of those people, and you want to be able to say you saw him live, then go. As for me, I wish I'd stuck with my memories of Hee Haw when he was at his prime.

Opening act(s): Little Elvis, Duke Mason, was very good. Strong voice and good singer. Enjoyed his part. Would have liked to hear more Elvis songs that were not Christmas but I guess it was a Christmas Show. @

When Roy walked out I thought, wow, not the man I remember since waking like a very old man. Then could hardly hear him sing at first with lots of feedback and humming coming from the sound system. Roy said he was sitting on stool due to surgery. If he doesn't get better it might be time for him to retire. You could tell his crew was a little worried what he was going to do next and they had to help him off stage. Overall it got better but he can't play like he used to but was still entertaining at times. His crew gave a good show and the Orange Blossom Special was cool. I wish him well.

when Roy came out on stage i thought how can he play or sing walking on stage like that but he put on a great show. He can still play those instruments. Love the show and his band. I would go again

Although Roy has aged, he still has the Hee-Haw twinkle in his eye and voice. His band was excellent and they gave Roy some deserved break-time. He demonstrated once again that he is much more than a singer, he is an outstanding instrumentalist. We enjoyed the concert.

There was microphone feedback throughout the entire concert. Probably because Roy's voice was too weak. The entire concert performance was disappointing.

This was a great concert. Roy and his group kept me entertained and also the others in my group felt the same. He is a very deducated person to continue with the show without cancelling because of his medical issue. Hope to get to see him again in the future.

The show was a big hit. Roy and the Boys displayed tremendous versatility and skill in a show that provided something for everyone. Roy's personality and his great delight in entertaining his hometown fans was quite evident. It was a joy to share the same hall with a man who openly loved his fans as much a they loved him!

It was distressing to see Roy in such poor physical condition. His hips and back may be affected but his fingers are still simply amazing. In spite of his obvious discomfort, he has not lost his sense of humor. I could listen to him all night long. The BEST show I have seen at Birchmere in several years. The whole group are extraordinary musicians.

Something I had wanted since the Hee Haw days was to see Roy Clark in person. I have never known of any entertainer that wanted the show to go on as much as he did that evening. Mr. Clark could have easily canceled that show. He was on pain medication and had the appearence of a man that really did not feel well. He took the stage and gave my wife, myself, and everyone in attendance that night what they came to see and hear. I enjoyed an evening that I will never forget. I wish he he had been able to come out after for autographs as I have an album from 1969, "I Never Picked Cotton" that I would have loved to have had him sign,,, and I am confident he would have. Maybe next time as I hope to have the chance to see him again,,, and soon!

Enjoyed the performance of a true country icon. There seemed to be some songs where you could not hear Roy's guitar while he was playing. Don't know if that was a sound board issue or an issue on stage. The reason I bought the tickets was to appreciate Roy's guitar pickin'. I was somewhat dissapointed.

Although Roy has had some medical issues and had limited movement around the stage, he still commanded a great performance. His band provided the support and they too had great performers - especially Mr. Davis.

When Roy Clark left the stage I looked at my watch expecting to find that it might have been the shortest show I ever saw ... WRONG! It was almost two hours later! What a performance: music and comedy. I lost track of how many tunes were played but it was more than sufficient. It was a well knit show that flowed easily from beginning to end. Roy Clark is a master entertainer who is not afraid to showcase the young talent that surrounds him - and it is talent!

The show was wonderful and, although Roy didn't play as much as we would have expected, he featured all of his band members very well. We were disappointed that Roy did not do any banjo pickin'. He is such a character and still has the sparkle in his eye and his devilish grin and we remembered and love.
