Rosanne Cash's concert was fantastic ! Wonderful music...wonderful energy! I've seen Rosanne in Starkville, Ms., Duke University, at a book signing in NC, and n Williamsburg. Am trying to get tickets to see her in Roanoke, Va. If you haven't heard Rosanne, treat yourself. She's terrific.

The concert was held in a ballroom at the Williamsburg Lodge and the acoustics were outstanding. Roseanne and her husband were great! Many songs from "The List" which is a very good CD which is based on a list of the top 100 country songs her father gave her as a teenager. Just a very relaxing and intimate concert filled with beautiful music by a great artist.

Great Venue.....She has a great voice and the sound was amazing. The concert itself was a little mellow. I would have loved some stories about her dad and a few more upbeat songs or rock songs.

Cash with the amazing guitar work of John Levanthal was spectacular way to spend a Sat evening in Williamsburg, Va. Rosanne's voice was like listening to her work in the recording studio. She has a real connection with the audience.

I went to see and hear my favorite song by Rosanne, which is - She's got you - and she didn't sing it.

Her other music was so so. A 5 out of 10.

The entire performance was fabulous and the diverse crowd seemed to feel the same way. Rosanne and her husband have a great rapport together. You could feel the energy. Our son, who is a great fan of Country/Folk style music, just published his first CD, so I surprised him with tickets to this concert when he came to visit this past weekend. The name of his CD is Bring Me Back by Tom Bodine. It can be found on line.p

Very enjoyable... best thing was that the sound level was kept reasonable, not excessively loud as most singing groups... and with just the 2 guitars, the singing could be heard... great without drums and multiple guitars playing, which usually drouwns out the singing.

Roseanne Cash has a wonderful voice with terrific range and it was on full display in a ballroom setting with surprisingly good acoustics. That's the good news. The bad news is that her sole accompanist was her manager/guitarist husband, who tried to make up for the lack of a backup band by playing bass, rhythm, and lead guitar all at once on a single instrument. It mostly didn't work. Cash's material, which included several songs from "The List" of classic folk and country songs along with her own compositions, is suited either to a small and more intimate club setting where her storytelling skill can shine through, or a regular concert hall with a decent backup group that can complement her powerful voice. The true embarrassment of the evening was an encore session that featured Bruce Hornsby, who came onstage with what looked like a toy accordion, with a broken strap no less, and played as if he really had - according to him - been asked to appear only three hours earlier. At least it was a moment of true spontaneity, a quality otherwise lacking in the regular set.

Sitting in the Lodge at Colonial Williamsburg listening to Roseanne Cash was like having her play in my living room - it was a concert but with an intimate feel. I did think, however, that our chairs were a bit crowded together and would have liked a little more space. Other than that, the sound and lighting were great, it was terrific to be able to take a drink into the concert with me! Thanks for a great evening -- I hope to go there many more times!

LOVED Rosanne- her guitarist/husband John Leventhal was amazing. It was nice to be in the hands of 2 professionals who work well together and were able to pull off a full concert with 2 and often only 1 guitar. The music was great- a great artist and great songwriter!!

I sat perfectly still for 90 minutes as I didn't want to miss one sound. The show was fabulous. Rosanne Cash is raw talent, not razzle, dazzle and fluff. The sounds that came from John Leventhal's guitar were inspiring.

Hubby and I were deciding between going to see Bruce Springsteen or Rosanne. We made the right choice. No doubt, what-so-ever!!!

Saturday Night I attended Rosanne Cash's performance at the Folly Theatre. I have been a fan of hers for many, many years dating to the late 70's and her performances on "Austin City Limits", but Saturday night was the first live performance I've seen. Rosanne is a seasoned artist with Grammys and awards but in this venue in a duet format with husband John Leventhal she had an enthusiasm that belies her decades of being in front of audiences. Rosanne has a magnificent voice and enchanting demeanor that add to the strong set list she chose. My only disappointment was she didn't sing my alltime favorite Rosanne Cash song "The Way We Make a Broken Heart" from the great album "King's Record Shop". Rosanne is a beautiful woman and a hell of a singer! Great Night.

I have been hooked on Rosanne ever since I heard Bill Shapiro feature her Ten Song Demo on Cypress Avenue about 10 years ago. She is an incredible musician and gifted lyricist. The concert was fantastic, Rosanne's voice was beautiful and strong. I could listen to her for hours on end. Oh yeah, I have listened to her for hours on end. Leventhal's guitar work was impeccable and with wonderful tone. That guy is an amazing talent. I think they played 2 new songs that will be out next year. Liked those quite a bit! Loved long black veil, blue moon with heartache, Ode to Billie Joe (that was a fun surprise), thank god that I now have Cash's emotive version of motherless children to replace the one Clapton put in my head (no offense Eric, but Jesus!). Wish wish wish she had performed Western Wall...Maybe next time. I wonder if she knows how good a writer and performer she is

It was a very intimate setting..... Two guitars & a singer. While I was expecting more I found myself enjoying the intimacy of the setting. Her singing was top notch as was her husband's few harmony parts.... & boy can he pick a guitar!
I really appreciate all that they did for us to meet & greet as well. Then venue itself was beautiful as always.
