Marty Stuart is a remarkable showman, with a special talent for "connecting" to his audience, smiling all the time, making eye contact with those near the stage, and playing and singing his heart out. His two "back-up" performers were true to their name -- superlative. They were very versatile, playing a variety of instruments and also singing in several styles and tempos, to great applause. The drummer, too, was extraordinary.
They put on a two-hour show that was "country" music" at its best, but also emotional at times, personal, spiritual, and fast moving in a way that allowed the artists, particularly Marty Stuart, to demonstate their musical skills. Their show entertained -- and amazed -- everyone!

Favorite moment: Instrumentals by the Marty Stuart group, playing so fast that the audience was almost mesmerized. @
Setlist: "California Blues," "Drifting Apart," and "Cry, Cry, Cry" were some of my favorites. @
Opening act(s): We saw John Dee Graham, who was folksy but not a good entertainer. @
