These guys really know how to put on a show. The wait between the opening act and the main performance was a little too long, but once they got on the stage they played their hearts out like usual. They are very talented and their music was worth the wait anyway because no other band is as fun to see and hear on stage!

I had seen Slightly Stoopid before. Liked them enough to come back. This time however, the opening band, the Aggrolites played for like an hour. They weren't bad, but did they need to play for an hour? I think they even played longer than Stoopid did? All of their songs sound the same, but alas, they are just another reggae styled Sublime wannabe.
On to Stoopid... apparently their fan base is now comprised of Yankees hat totting high schoolers.
Overall, not impressed. Maybe I am just too old at the age of 24, but the whole scene just seemed dated to me. Their set was OKAY, but nothing to write home about.

Newport is a cool venue, being small enough to feel like you're right in the mix wherever you are, but large enough so you don't feel overcrowded. Slightly Stoopid puts on an EXCELLENT live show! They sound amazing and their energy gets the crowd going. LOVE their use of horns and bongo drums...that you don't see too often. LOVE this band and would see them again anywhere close by!
