Favorite moment: 1.Seeing CG's vocalist from 2 feet away at the bar, and talking to him when he walked by my car.2.Every Chelsea Grin song. 3.Immaculate Misconception! @
Setlist: Chelsea Grin: The Second Coming, Lilith, Cheyne Stokes, The Foolish One, Sonnet of the Wretched, My Damnnation, Don't Ask Don't Tell, and they played Recreant for the Encore. I'm pretty sure that was their entire set. @
Opening act(s): Crown the Empire, Upon this Dawning, Stick to your Guns, Chelsea Grin. (Chelsea Grin was more of a Secondary headliner, or so it seemed) @
Alright, so I missed the first band (Forget who they were), but we walked in right before Crown the Empire began. They were alright, Upon this Dawning was next, and were pretty darn good. Stick to your Guns wasn't my type of music, but they had a great, great stage presence and I really liked them. But man oh man, when Chelsea Grin came on, my mind was blown. The bass was CRAZY, the breakdowns were brutal, and the vocals were phenomenal. I totally lost it during their performance. Motionless in White was headliner, and did an awesome job. They did Immaculate Misconception for their encore which was GREAT. Just a great, great concert. Also, the venue was perfect! The Crofoot is big enough for people to fit comfortably, but small enough so that wherever you are you feel close to the band. And I forgot to mention, I got to talk to Alex Koehler of Chelsea Grin!!!! He walked right by my car as we were about to get in. Unforgettable concert.
