I've seen Reckless Kelly live at several venues. They never disappoint! This was my first time at The Glass Cactus - this is an amazing venue! A good crowd without being over-crowded. Friendly staff and great environment - VERY Clean and well-kept.

I will definitely be returning any time my favorite bands are performing at this venue.

Came to NYC from Alabama for vacation. An unexpected pleasure to see Reckless Kelly. Show was outstanding. Really impressive to see an Americana crowd in NYC. RK put on an impressive show. Can't wait to see them again.

The music was great. I'm not a big fan of the venue. I'd prefer to relax at a table with a cocktail while I enjoy the music.

Ok, so I've never heard of Reckless Kelly before, Still I hoped for the best. We had came for my moms birthday.. They played well and all but I didn't know any of the songs. I could of delt with that but our seats were slightly to the left of the stage , yet still towards the front but they only focused on the seats directly in front of them. Felt like they didn't know how to work an audience. Became bored as time went on. They had a house band at Billy Bobs that night and they were amazing !!! We enjoyed the house band much better.

Fantastic! Will definitely go to see them again. Was familiar with some of their music, but this really opened me up to what they do. I cannot recommend them highly enough for others to go see them live.

Amazing show! Great setlist, great opening act. Sadly for RK the club was far from soldout, good news for the devotees in the audience is that there was plenty of room, everyone in the crowd got to stand right up close, and the band stuck around to sign autographs after the show! Awesome time in Beantown, I would love to see tham come this way again!

too much rock and roll guitar which was not that good should show there song writing skills more The opening band i.e. the motorbikes were more enjoyable

Micky and the Motorcars opened the show - and were great - the crowd was really into them/the show - from the start. They closed their set with Rod Stewart's 'Stay with Me' - and the crowd wished they had (stayed and played longer!).

Reckless Kelly opened their set with 'Hit the Ground Running' - and that they did! They were awesome! Some of the best musicians/songwriters around!

The crowd was really into the show (great crowd on hand) - the venue is really nice (with solid accoustics) - and the staff at the Variety Playhouse was helpful - polite and a great bunch.

The only downside is that we (the fans/crowd) could have listened to them another (2) hours!!

If you've never seen these guys, drop everything and go. I've seen them three times in the last 12 months and even flown halfway across the country to go to their concerts, but this was the best. The material off the new album is excellent and you can tell that Willy and the boys are thrilled to be playing a lot of new stuff.
