The performance was out of this world! I can't explain it with words. It was absolutely incredible to hear the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra with Sting. It was uniquely beautiful and powerful. We had a one-of-a-kind experience that we will never forget.

I've seen Sting perform with The Police, his solo tour for The Dream of the Blue Turtles, and now last night with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra... Which was by far, his best performance yet! His voice is perfect, intoxicating and strong, and makes one long for more. He has a peaceful energy that filled the entire theater... not to mention, he's still extremely easy on the eyes! The orchestra (which was on loan from the Queen) was absolutely fabulous too! What a lovely, lovely evening... thank you, Sting!

Before the concert I was worried that the orchestral arrangements of the songs would spoil them--I was wrong. The orchestra added a depth and feel to the songs without detracting at all from the original feel. It was fun to try to guess which song was coming up as the orchestra began playing, but once the singing started, there was never any doubt.
If you've watched any of the recent 3D movies lately, this experience was similar to that. For most songs the orchestra did not upstage Sting or his usual band--it only added depth. However, on a few occaisions, they would do something spectacular, like the sewing needle in Coraline, it would reach out and startle you.

Of course there was a completely new arraingement of "Roxanne"--I don't think I've heard that song perfomed the same way twice. This is one of the songs in which the orchestra really shined, but they truly stole the show in the opening bars to "Russians"

In addition to the amazing vocal talents, moving guitar riffs and interesting and moving instrumental and percussion elements you expect from Sting, this concert gives you so much more to look at, and listen to.

I was not impressed where the event was held in the least. I'd love to see Sting again at a really nice event center and will not return to Thackerville again. The employees were wonderful and hospitable but my wife and I did not care for the gambling scene or food choices. Best wishes to Winstar! It's just not our cup of tea.

Lots of people have written about the fact that in the Saturday show, Sting's mic died during the second song. He had no idea we couldn't hear him, but the stage crew managed to get the message over and fix the problem. He played the song again, which was only right.

What impressed me about this show was that Sting seemed to thoroughly enjoy being on stage. He was conversational, relaxed, smiling, and took the microphone problem in stride.
This made the show, at least for me. The person up there wasn't a pop star - he was a supremely talented human being. I would so like to know him.

The show was great except for two things. First, all the microphones went out on stage early on during "Every Breath You Take". No fault of the performers, of course, and in fact, they had no idea the mics weren't working, given that they performed the entire song with non-working mics. The sound company needed to do a MUCH better job as to correcting the problem more quickly. Sting was finally informed of the issue at the end of the song and had to take several mintues break. Thankfully, Sting was gracious enough to perform the song again.

Second, it would be VERY NICE & NEIGHBORLY if people would STOP HAVING THEIR CELL PHONE SCREENS LIT-UP during the performance!! It was distracting to have all those screen lights glaring into my face - sometimes both nearby & from a few rows away simultaneously! It would also be nice if the staff would keep an eye out for such things and tell people to dim the lights on their phones - or just turn the darn things off.

One more thing - if the venue is going to have a rule not to take pictures of videos during performances they need to ENFORCE THE RULE. That certainly would have helped with the lit-up cell phones issue.

What's great about Sting is that he still clearly enjoys what he's doing. For this concert, despite a rocky start with the sound system, he was more reflective than I've seen and took time to chat every few songs. He explained his inspirations for several of the less played songs, as well as for some that received more popular play. The band support were phenomenal -- especially the guy on the violin and the lead back-up female vocalist. Superb. It was great to hear some of the "must hear" songs from the Police days, but also a wide variety from all his albums. Solid, through and through.

I have been fortunate to see Sting several times in my life; everytime a complete joy to see. The same was true at Winstar except for one thing. The sound failed for the first two songs and poor Sting was unaware until after he started the second song. The show was halted and problem was solved and he was gracious enough to repeat the song that got interrupted. A real class act. I always enjoy going to Winstar for concerts; a smaller venue and overall great experience. I will continue to take advantage of the entertainment there in the future.

It took us a whole hour from the time we got off the interstate to the place we parked!! We didn't even park in venue disignated parking, we missed 30 minutes of the concert and we ended up paying a guy $40 to park in a guys yard. We almost turned around and went home. I hate that this part of the experience almost overshadowed the whole event.

Sting was GREAT!!!!!! Other than an initial oops with the sound system (whcih wasn't Sting's fault) the performance was OUTSTANDING as was the venue. I would DEFINITELY recommend both this artist and this venue to ANYBODY!!!!!

I will start on a positive and say that Sting sounded amazing and I am happy to say I saw him live. He interacted with the audience and was very energetic and pleasant. I was saddened however, to hear he left most of his hits off the set list. I understand that after years of touring he would want to change it up, but after finally being able afford to see him I was disappointed. He did play four or five songs he is known for; which was nice. Also, the venue I thought allowed for too much moving around. I'm short and that's not anyone else's problem, but I seriously had to struggle just to get a look at Sting, and I was up pretty close. The jumbo screen was helpful, but I didn't pay to watch Sting on TV. People were milling about in the isles, up and down for beer, and standing more often than not in a venue not designed for everyone to see when this happens.

Half way via the first song and the entire second the sound went out.
The event location is NOT made for concerts, its a ballroom not a concert hall.
2/3 rds of the hall is flat. Seats are locked together and uncomfortable.

Nevertheless Sting was great. His vocals are second to none.

Listen, if you like Sting or the Police......GO SEE HIM LIVE!!!! This man is not only a great musician, but a great entertainer. He tells wonderful stories about all of the songs that he has written and it gives you a greater appreciation of those songs. Also, keep an eye on the blond siren and the long haired violin player. They almost stole the show.

Winstar made a great recovery when audio went out half way through the opening song.
Sting kept going into song #2 by the time he was told, they took a break and came back and repeated song #2, class act. We loved the show. He didn't sing "loose my faith" dammit.
