Jewel's performance was unbelievable; the venue was small and intimate and jewel sang with her heart on her sleeve and sang acapela and her voice is unbelievable! Many of her songs were so personal and heartfelt that i had tears rolling down my cheeks!
I've never cried at a concert before. Thanks jewel for a great performance and for being th asps spokesperson for breast reconstruction awareness!

Jewel is such a talent! I love the way she interacts with the audience. She is down to earth and so real, not a fake. Some of her songs are a little bit dark,but all tell a story, I like they way she shares about her life and what she has gone through, she is very grateful for where she is today and thankful to San Diego, I think she means it!

First, unlike most shows, the opener (Meiko) was amazing. Beautiful voice, funny stories between songs. Really charismatic. And then Jewel! Everything she sang was so beautiful. And not just a repeat of her albums. The vocals were reworked (or maybe free form, who knows) and so so beautiful. And she really talked to the audience. Sharing details of her life and the inspiration for her songs. With just her on stage with her guitar and the audience space darkened it was like spending time with a really talented friend. Truly a wonderful experience.

Yet again Jewel, continues to entertain loyal fans such as myself. She has been doing this for 13 years and her talent seems ageless. We love her interaction with the audience. Her stories about her life experiences in between songs are a nice touch that enables the audience to get to learn more about her while also understanding the songs she writes. We were 4 rows back right in the middle, Villa Montalvo is a great place to listen to live music. I look forward to her next visit to the Bay Area.

Jewel was great but the shows at the Hard Rock are getting old. I don't know if its all the comp tickets but people are very disrespectful. Up and down, showing up late, walking around makes it hard to enjoy show. I bet if they paid for tickets they wouldn't do that. Don't sit in upper section by door. If that's all that's left skip it.

What a great show! Such an intimate concert. It was a joy to listen to music at its finest with nothing more than a talented singer and her guitar. She told great stories of her childhood, and explained much of the inspiration behind so much of her music. She was a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend her show to anyone looking for uniqueness off the beaten path. Truly, a joy!

We ordered the tickets and they delivered on time. Ticketmaster is a great company. The whole family went. Jewel was a wonderful performer, my kids loved her and she has a great sense of humor, her voice is amazing. One of the best concerts we have seen. The place was easy to get to and the staff was so professional, they even had a door man that held the door open for you. Great Job

Jewel is magically beautiful to look at, she is all girl yet has a certain strength about her. We had a 10 minute posing for pictures comedy act (GREAT LEGS) that was very funny, her sence of humor, laugh and storytelling were captivating. Jewel is real, she shared her youth, her parents, her child, husband all with the same feelings and emotions everyone has.
SHE IS DEFINATELY GLASS HALF FULL, SOMETIMES OVERFLOWING KINDA GIRL.
We loved her and her name is dead on.

One of the best concerts I've ever been to! Different from others, as most people were very quiet to appreciate the music and story telling. Jewel is not only musically entertaining but is quite the story teller! Surprisingly funny!! She's had an amazing life and has a lot of depth to her life and music. Highly recommend going to see her to anyone!

The show was amazing! Jewel covered the songs on her new best of CD as well as took requests from the very enthusiastic crowd. Not an empty seat at the event. In between songs she spoke about her life, alaska and the family that she loves. She also discussed the inspiration she has in creating her songs. It was a wonderful show and I look forward to seeing her perform again in the future.

I'll admit this review is a little biased, I LOVE JEWEL!!! Normally I listen to hard rock/metal (ie., Tesla, AC/DC, Anthrax, SOD), but there is something about her voice and she's a very good songwriter. Unfortunately this was the first time I actually saw her live, although I have seen some things with her on TV so I knew what to expect - just Jewel with a guitar and a mic. Not that I really expected a 7 hour show, but one day every week that's how long I listen to her at work - 1:40 wasn't even long enough for her to play any of her country tracks. So for the show, and I can't emphasize any one attribute enough: touching stories, beautiful, talented, funny singer/guitarist! Add that the tickets were cheap and you got the best bang for the buck possible. As for the venue, main floor is a too low pit, stage level has a railing that's just a little too high if you are sitting in a seat, mezzanine may be the best place to sit.

Jewel; most genuine, real, artistic musician you can find. Recommend everyone buy tickets to her greatest hits tour. She is so down to earth, personable, and makes everyone feel welcome. She includes the audience into her night instead of making it about the audience formatting to fit her. I'm going to see her again in Kent, Ohio.

WOW!!!
Jewel is one of the most dynamic singer/songwriters I've ever seen whose live performances far exceed her studio albums.
The March 23rd concert just outside of Syracuse, NY took place in the intimate Turning Stone Casino Showroom.
Just after 8:00 PM Jewel walked on to stage were she had 5 guitars waiting for her. She picked one of the accoustics and away she went for the next hour and 45 minutes. The concert could've easily been called "Jewel Unplugged". In addition to several of her classics (Foolish Games and Who Will Save My Soul) Jewel rolled out several unrealeased songs such as "My Father's Daughter" and "Hole In My Heart" the latter of which brought tears to many eyes in the venue.
Jewel has a wonderful precence about her and succesfully fills the gaps between songs with humorous and insightful stories.
I truly hope I have the opportunity to see Jewel again!
Jewel was, in a word, outstanding!!

The performance was outstanding. Seeing Jewel perform live really brought out her super talent as a song writer as well as a singer. Her easy way of conversing with the audience drew you in from the start and we never wanted it to end! Her life story is an amazing tale of talent and dedication winning out in spite of the odds being greatly against it.
