Suburban Legends was ok as an opening band. As a fan of theirs, I can say that this wasn't their best performance. There just wasn't as much energy as there should have been (and they didn't pick some of their better songs to play). Big D and the Kids Table was good for their second half, but their first half was plagued by bad miking of the horns, feedback from the vocalists, and generally harsh and out of tune playing. After they shifted over to Shining On, the rest of the night went well.
Goldfinger... should be called Brownfinger, as they proudly displayed their anal fetish on stage multiple times. Without directly spoiling anything, just think "4 fingers", "index finger" and "twinkie". Also, they focused much more on their punk then they did their ska (which probably wasn't their best choice as their ska sounds better and the concert series was called Summer of Ska).
Then Reel Big Fish came on and played an amazing set, with a lot of older music of theirs. The banter wasn't as great as it was when Scotty was around, but it's still entertaining. They were extremely tight, and despite the good points of the other three bands, they easily made the entire night.
