About the performer - it would be much better if they sang together more
About the orchestra - way too much numbers... the performance is about the singers not the orchestra...
About the choice of songs - classics is great but should have more varieties. Judging from the audience you can tell the popular songs ( even oldies) got more applause from the crowd.

The Irish Tenors have beautiful voices but it is time to upgrade or refresh
their performance/program which seems a bit tired compared to the group called
The Three Tenors.
On the other hand the Orchestra was excellent and full of energy.

The technical part of the concert at Bergen Performing Arts Center was
annoying. I had to stick paper tissue in my ears for fear of loosing my hearing.
The sound coming out of the massive speakers was so loud as to cause pain to my eardrums. Why use speakers in a hall that has beautiful acoustics ?

The singers at times were squirming and had to close their eyes in order to avoid
blinding spotlights.

My dad's from Ireland and has seen many Irish Concerts however, he'd never seen the Irish Tenors. I surprised him with the tickets and he loved it - he sang along to every song and said it was one of the best concerts he'd ever seen.

The Irish Tenors gave a great and powerful performance with huge voices and wonderful Irish charm...

Location:Ecclectic, happy, spiritual not spacey. boomer.

Whoever the orchestra was, was never made clear. They were talented and cohesive. The conductor (again this would be a real plus to have in written form) seemed delighted from whimsey to serious composition. This was sincere, great performance and presentation.

This is the second time I've seen the Irish Tenors at the Kirby. The show was excellent! Not to long or short. The play list was wonderful as well. Some of the old favorites but some we don't hear as often. The Tenors were personable and appeared too be having a good time. Members of the orchestra also appeared to be enjoying themselves. Their performance was also wonderful. Very tight &didn't miss a cue. This trip was a birthday gift for my 90 year old mother, she's a music critic and she loved it. We couldn't be more pleased and will go again.

Location:From Indiana, So I do not go to the theater there.

The music was very good. The seats were upstairs and were fine because we could see everything well. The only real issue was that the microphones seemed to be set up for the orchastra. When you go to see the tenors, you hope to hear them most of all especially when they are the only ones singing. The musicians were louder than the tenors and seemed to drown them out. That could be the seats and not anything else but it was less spectacular than I thought that it would be

Most of the time the 3 Tenors were alternating where usually only 1 was singing. Also, at times the orchestra was playing selections without anyone singing. 2 of the tenors seemed to have stage fright. They were not comfortable talking to the audience and when they did perform they were like statues. Their lips were the only thing that moved. They did not connect with the audience. A poor waste of $70.

A very entertaining show.

We took my mother to the concert as a birthday present. The performance went for just over two hours. The score selection included a number of crowd favorites incluiding "Forty Shades of Green" and "O' Danny Boy".

Location:Location from home? about 10 miles. Easy to reach.

Very well coordinated show. All great voices. A llittle confusing when they all took turns getting on and off the stage. Love Ronan Tynan. His personality just resonates through the theater.

I truly enjoyed the show. Over the past 10-12 years, I have seen the Irish Tenors probably seven times and always enjoy them. Sometimes John McDermott has been a member and sometimes Karl Scully. It was great to see Ronan Tynan back with the "lads". They have different types of voices but complement each other wonderfully.

Their voices are, of course, beautiful. They melded and sang solo. beautifully. Disappointingly, I felt that they didn't live up to their reputation.

But what was most irritating were the little "in" jokes among themselves that were mostly inaudible to the audience, but the trio seemed to believe we could hear. Or so it seemed.

I've rated them 4 stars, somewhat generously I'm afraid.

Mario Lanza they are not. Maybe I expected too much?

It was, however, an enjoyable evening.
