This weekend was incredible. Blue October always puts on a great show but there was something different about this one. I was fortunate to go to both nights and while the sets were similar, the band mixed it up and pulled off yet another amazing show! I was impressed with the opening acts too. I had seen Ours before and, not so much, but this weekend was great! Switchfoot did well too! High energy, angry beats, playful melodies...this show had it all and I can't complain about anything.

Favorite moment: During "My Never" when I proposed. We found forever! @

Setlist: All of "Approaching Normal" in order of the album, plus Congratulations, Chameleon Boy, Hate Me, Italian Radio, Into the Ocean, X Amount of Words, Come in Closer, and I think one other but I can't quite remember. We got the set list from the 2nd Omaha show! @

Yet another amazing Blue October concert! I've seen them 4 times now and my fiancee has seen them about 10, including a show in Peoples in Ames years back, and they just keep getting better! We were third back from middle right stage so we got a lot of close ups from Justin and Ryan - close enough to get some sweat on us! No matter when or where you see them, they put on an incredible show and you can always tell that everything is left on the stage when they're done - nothing is held back. Their music is pure intense passion. I want them to sing at our wedding but I don't think I can afford it. Maybe I'll win the lottery....

Having listened to their live performance CD a good bit, I felt that I knew what to expect. I was not disappointed. It was an energetic, enjoyable performance with a nifty small scale light show thrown in on the stage.
If you like this band I would certainly recommend you catch them live.

This was the second time I saw Blue October, the first at Rock on the Range 2009. Ryan Delahousaye was my original WOW. The venue this time was very small (350) the crowd was lovely, everyone was very cozy, glad to share space and view, and everyone was mostly short like me!! Switchfoot opened and as awesome as Blue October was, Switchfoot was even better! I went to this show for spirituality and GOT IT!!! Everyone should see Blue October if for no other reason to see Ryan fly between instruments like the rest of us do socks.

Amazing band... just got back from the Kings of Leon concert at the izod center - I paid more for it and enjoyed it much less than Blue October at Terminal 5. My ears are still ringing and not in a good way. Even though I honestly like Blue October more than Kings of Leon (though I still LOVE KoL), the venue for Blue October made the concert far more amazing. Very intimate; great sound, nice bar and two levels which you can wander freely (also an open roof for smoking and they had bbq going on up there!)... I look forward to going back to terminal 5, hopefully to hear a band as good as Blue October. Oh and the use of violin/viola in their songs makes them even more special and moving.

I came to this concert for Switchfoot, and so I will review Switchfoot. They were awesome, as usual. They played some songs from their upcoming album, Hello Hurricane, which will be released in November. The crowd was kind of pushy and unwilling to let people through, but Switchfoot was totally worth seeing!

Switchfoot did a great job, even though their set was a bit short. I thought it was one of the better shows I have seen them play. It would have been 5 stars if it was a normal length set.

I could have cared less about the other two bands that played. In fact I left 2/3rds of the way through the Blue October set since I thought it was miserable.

I had been looking forward to this concert for a long time. My wife and I planned a weekend at the ocean with the concert as the highlight of the trip. Although it rained all day and was in the 60's (not what we were hoping for beach weather) Blue October made it the best weekend of the year. The mix of old and new and electric and acoustic was perfect and although we didn't want it to ever end, Blue October's set was a good hour and a half (at least) long. We can't wait to see them again!!

I had such a great time at this concert. I wasn't very familiar with Blue October - I went with a friend because they are her favorite - and I must say that I really enjoyed myself. The music was great and the bands were very entertaining. Justin Furstenfeld sings with such passion - you can't help but to be moved. I didn't want it to end.

I drove two and a half hours to see Blue October. And it was well worth it!!! They were excellent! I have all of their CD's and a few of them are live recordings so I thought they would be good. It exceeded my expectations! They seem to really feed off the crowd and the venue was great you could see the stage from just about everywhere in the room. I was suprised that they played as long as they did. I had never heard of Switchfoot but after seeing them they have one more fan! They were fab.

To start, Switchfoot were fantastic performers, engaging the crowd as much as possible to make it more personal for everyone there..but when Blue October came out, I for one could feel the emotion in their music and lyrics...whether that was by jumping up and down dancing or getting choked up in the throat from the raw emotion. I highly recommend anyone and everyone who is just a fan of music in general to go and see these bands, as they would not be disappointed!

I brought my niece to the concert. We both enjoyed the concert very much all the bands were great. First time at theHouse of Blues in AC. Concert was run very well.
I was very impressed by Switchfoot and Ours who came out afterwards to meet with there fans. Well worth every penny.

The show was awesome, Blue October sounded really good live and you could tell they were enjoying themselves. The crowd was well behaved, probably because it was 18+ so that was a plus. There were a couple nuts who thought they were trying out for American Idol in the audience, and I got whipped in the face with some crazy lady's pony tail, but that's pretty tame for a concert. Switchfoot was great too, and the relationship between the two bands was good too.

Shows at the Ballroom are good because there's no bad seat in the house. Even if you're in the back of the crowd, you have a better view than what you'd have at any show in an arena.

The time between the end of Switchfoot and Blue October was a little long, and the music played then should have been more of the genre of the bands at the concert rather than the stuff that was playing.

Blue October has a special meaning to my son and I . This is only the second time we've seen them together. It was truly one of the best nights ! They have so much talent and are lyrically genious ! They perform with raw emotion that makes everyone feel like their songs were written just for them ! The energy is unwaivering until the last note ! It was a show we'll remember forever ! Thank you, thank you, thank you !!!!

When I first heard about the concert, I was surprised because I couldn't picture Switchfoot and Blue October playing together; but after actually going, and hearing them live, I wouldn't have had it any other way. That was by far the most amazing concert I've ever been to. A lot of bands suck when live, to be blunt. Blue October and Switchfoot are not only great on record, but they know how to rock, and make a crowd go wild! Also, the opening band, "Ours", was really good too. I liked them a lot! I definitely recommend anyone and everyone to see Blue October and/or Switchfoot live sometime. It'll be well worth the money. I promise!

Originally there to watch switchfoot. the order on the tix said blue october would be on first so i thought they (switchfoot) were the headliners. A bit dissapointed that it wasnt. Great Venue, Great Atmosphere. So close to the band. People were pleasant and blue october was great! overall awsome experience- I like the smaller more intimate bands and settings so this was perfect.

Blue October does put on a great show, but if anything, go to check out the opening band, Ours. They've been around forever, and I paid for over-priced tickets just to see them play a 30-minute set. Jimmy Gnecco, the lead singer, has the best vocals of my generation.

"Ours" was pretty good for an opening band. Their music was a little screamy but fun to listen to. Switchfoot was definitely the highlight of the evening. The performance was flawless, the music was great, and they all clearly loved what they were doing. Each and every member of the band wasa true showman, and their lead singer was very entertaining. Blue October played decent music, but Switchfoot was a very tough act to follow. In my opinion, Blue October should not have been the headliner. The lead singer made a lot of, for lack of better words, "freaky" expressions, and was uncomfortable to watch. Their performance was really unsettling and my friend and I walked out after 3 songs. The music was decent but the show was unpleasant.
