Soulive is our favorite soul, funk, jazz jam band! Akashic Record opened the show and kicked things off with a BOOM! Then Neil, Alan and Kraz proceeded to drop it heavy! This New Years Eve show marks our anniversary so we attend each year and call it our Souliversary!! The Paradise is my favorite intimate, hand-on-bar, club in the city! Thanks for a great night!!

The Soulive show was energetic and fun! Shady Horns was a great addition as well. The Paradise ambience was bare bones and I wish there was more variety at the bar.

Soulive is the most genuine funk band I've ever seen live. Their amps are possessed by the spirits, giving them the true soul sound. Their buildups are incredible and rapturous.

This was an amazing New Years show. The only problem was the coat check was full all night, so many people including myself had to keep our coats on throughout the show.

Easily one of the best shows I've seen in Boston in a very long time. I just wish that they could've played until 1:00 AM since it was the night before New Years Eve.

Amazing! I have seen Soulive many times, at many places, and nothing beats Soulive at the Paradise. All the thumbs up!

Awesome show all around, but Soulive takes the cake. They should have headlined. They were tighter, their drummer was much better and more funky, and with those horns backing them it was just about the greatest thing I've heard!

for those of you who are reading this and haven't seen lettuce, you already know you are missing out!!! Erik krasno on guitar will blow your mind! (and i'm a drummer!) not to mention the entire band is scary good, never missing a beat, and in complete sync the entire time. they read each others minds, and put on one of the best shows you can see. The ball was insane, complete w/ Maceo & robert randolph. Maceo alone is a crazy show but when you add a lil lettuce, its the funkiest salad that ever hit you upside the head! I cannot tell you how freakin awesome the show was, the general admission at terminal 5 is crucial. the floor was packed, but i got to about 5th row,. The outside smoking area is huge and has a double level, the inside has 3 floors all complete with balconies and bars. You really can't ask for a better night, especially if you like soulive/ lettuce/ & the entire Royal Family. If you don't, then you need to get involved!

They rocked the house! I will NEVER miss any of the artists if they come within 50 miles of my house! 2nd time seeing the Ball, but this time was unbelievable because they all were on stage together for a couple jams toward the end. Very talented musicians, all of them!!!!

The whole show was amazing. All the different acts were great and the fact that they would mix and play together. The show stealer would definitely be Raul Midon. He was absolutely sick. And I was front row so I got great views of the whole thing. I would definitely do this again and recommend it to a friend.

We arrived at 8:00 and had a drink. an hour rolled around with no entertainment.
Finally a lousy DJ went on after 9:00.

We left around 9:30 having never seen the headliner which is a damn shame considering the tickets weren't cheap.

Show was tight with a lot of bang for the buck. Soulive had lots of energy early and had a nice culster of Beatles tunes from Rubber Soulive that hit the spot. Lettuce comes out and keeps the energy rolling playing a full, solid set. There was a ton of music this night at the HOB in Boston and the ticket price was right.

Overall an excellent show. There was an acoustic opening act whose name I can't recall that went on way too long -- the first half, while not great, was much better than the second so the entire thing could have been half the time.

Soullive was awesome, but due to the rather late start and long set, left only an hour for Lettuce before the midnight curfew. I would have preferred they nix the opening act and give me more Lettuce.
