Josh Ritter's first night in Columbia was nothing short of amazing. At first I was embarrassed for the lack of attendance. Ritter should, and has, filled auditoriums greater than the Blue Note. However, the way he and his band fed off such a small audience made us feel like we were 10,000 strong.
The mood of the night was set by the opening band Longhorne Slim whose albums don't do their live performance justice. They were loud and snappy and I am now a fan.
If you haven't seen Ritter perform live and in person, then you have not seen him. Josh Ritter and company are true musicians and artists. I won't miss him if he is ever in town again.

Favorite moment: Too many to count. Josh sang one song with no mic and it sounded like it was supposed to. @
Setlist: Every good song you could have wanted him to play. He even played some new ones that would leave you counting the days until his next album release. @
Opening act(s): Longhorne Slim... Check them out. @
