Overall, this was a great show. Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, and Willie Nelson and Family were my personal favorites. They played a great variety of old favorites and new music and were generally engaging and energetic. I could have done without the lengthy and repetitious rendition of "Homegrown" as sung by Neil Young with Willie Nelson accompanying. John Cougar Mellencamp's performance was lackluster.
The venue itself was kind of awful I have to say. The directions from the website took us in a circle adding at least 30-45 minutes to the time to park. Extremely long lines for beer all day long (30-60 minutes - we didn't bother), extremely long lines for bathrooms, disorganized "ushers" who pointed my husband and I in the wrong direction multiple times which caused us to take over an hour to find the first aid tent, not enough trams to take ppl to satellite parking after the show. There were few aisles and openings lending itself to a constant bottle neck effect any time you tried to go anywhere. Overall the venue was too small (or, perhaps, just very poorly organized) to handle a show of this caliber. For example, long rows of folding chairs, some of which are zip tied together and labelled at one end with masking tape is not what I expect for a professional show.
Bottom line - these performers were fabulous and I am very supportive of the cause. Next time, opt for a sports center or similar sized venue that has the infrastructure to support an all day event such as this.
