I loved the show but, LOSE THE PROFANITY!!!! You had 10 or so folks walk out!!! You don't use (can't use) profanity on Miller Time or on your radio show, so why use it in stand up????

While Dennis started his show late, he was at his best at Arnold Hall. Even though he rushed from the airport and literally ran up on stage the imagery and pathos was right on track.
His long time support of our armed forces played very well at the AFA and his comments about POTUS were hilarious. Dennis didn't seem, at first, to realize that his Obama material would be welcomed as he was very surgeon like slicing Obama, but after he realized he had a conservative friendly audience, the "shredding" began.
Dennis has changed his view over the years, but not as much as you would think.. Common Sense, or the lack of it in the world was the best part of the show.
The opening act was great as well Dr. Fitzgerald was suprisingly good. A great show, thanks Dennis!

Dennis was funny and could be viewed as very politically incorrect depending on where you fall in the political spectrum. I enjoyed his show but would not recommend it for anyone under 18. We had a family of four sitting next to us with the youngest being about 15 - clearly was not the right event for the 15 year old to be at. I don't know that the 15 year old was uncomfortable but the parents definitley were. The humor was constant and while the four letter words were free flowing they did fit in with the performance so that they were not overly obvious. The audience, as a whole, laughed through out the entire show - well worth attending.

I love to see Dennis Miller on O'Reilly...primary reason I signed up. Much of his repartee was great...he has a wonderful sense of humor and can get right to the nub of an issue with it. However I am a believer in Christ who has set certain standards for my speech and what I listen to. Unfortunately he slipped into the crass and objectionable language that saps any great comedian's humor from its intended point. Although I laughed at much of what was said, he could have made the humorous points without the offensive language and thoughts. I respect his stance on gay marriage, though I don't agree with them, but that was not the issue. I am very disappointed that I cannot enjoy good humor without subjecting myself or my wife to terrible language. He has destroyed my enjoyment of the O'Reilly interviews. Unfortunately I cannot attend another live performance by him unless he cleans up his act, which I sincerely hope he does.

Miller's satirical approach to current events and political news was refreshing especially with so much concern about PC in this nation - he speaks freely and uninhibited. Very funny. He drops the usual F...bombs but all in all the content was entertaining for the average adult.

Can't say enough good stuff about Dennis Miller's performance! He really is the "sultan of the simile" and the "master of the metaphor". He's the sort of performer to whom you want to pay careful attention or you'll miss something supremely clever. Not only would I recommend seeing him; I would go out and buy tickets to see him again myself. However, I would NEVER pay to see anyone again at Park West. Our tickets listed a row and seat number, but when we arrived we discovered that they were general admission and we ultimately sat up in a "balcony" on barstools (with no backs) with our knees pressed against a low wall sandwiched between all the other people trying to catch a great performance. I'd rather pay more money and get an actual seat.

I didn't laugh as hard at George Carlin or Seinfeld as I did at this Dennis Miller show (no disrespect to these comedic giants). From the moment he came on stage to the moment he left it was gaffow-out-loud, knee-slapping, hand-clapping funny. Beware however, if you don't have the same political leanings this show is not for you.

Of course Dennis came out with a CUBS hat on...and why not; he had thrown the first ball at Wrigley that day and also sang during the 7th inning stretch. He definitely hit a grand slam too with the audience. He was enlightning, provacative and a genious with his similies and metaphors. He discussed politics and poked fun at most of the weirdos in the news right now and even joked about our beloved Clinton...can't ever miss making fun of Clinton! My only complaint was that it wasn't longer...I give it a 10!

Dennis was awesome. How a person could be that logical and funny at the same time is unbelievable. Even if you do not agree with some points, he makes you think. His story of his Mom and Frank Sinatra was side splitting. He shows respect for our President while at the same time pointing out the flaws of some advising him. It surely was a fulfilling evening.

I have seen Dennis 4 times now counting this appearance. I was worried that his years off the stand-up stage would make the show not as clever and funny as before but I was not let down.
His new material was thought provoking and amusing while his older jokes still manage to crack me up. I did, however, miss his signature rant.
I went to the show with my mother, Connie, who never misses Dennis on the radio or on O'Reilly. My Aunt also came wth and, as I found out later, was not too thrilled to go. I had assumed she was a fan when I bought the tickets. Good news is, my Aunt is now an avid fan and thanked me profusely for "turning her on" to Dennis Miller. I have recruited quite a few friends to Dennis' particular brand of humor and it makes me feel good when people realize what they have been missing.

What a delightful evening! My husband and I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! Dennis takes the events of the day and turns the insanity into jovial laughter with the lack of common sense in our world. Loved that he wore his Cubs cap! He talked about what a class organization the Cubs are when they invited 50 foreign war veterans to the ball game! Despite the season, on my daughter's birthday my Mom & I met Ron Santo -- what a kind man, so we've experienced it first hand! Appreciate Dennis' efforts to assist USA Cares in raising funds to help those who give "So Much for US!" God Bless Dennis Miller!

I hadn't been to Park West in years. The accoustics are still as awful. We got stuck in traffic coming in. HUGE people had taken up front seats where several people could have sat. We couldn't hear and couldn't see. We told some Park West people, they didn't care.

Dennis stood at a podium. read from notes, and seemed disengaged for the entire, short, 1 hour performance. He came back for a very short encore and did jokes and commentaries that were very dated and not relevant.

Dennis Miller is very funny. He is a hard core Republican, but he doesn't overly bash one side or the other. Many of his jokes are geared to people are well read and well versed in public events. Some of what he says may go over your head. Be on time.....He starts exactly on time and his show doesn't run for more than about 65 minutes. I think the show is too short for the amount that I paid.

Dennis Miller is a great comedian, and it was great to finally see him live. However, it wasn't all I thought it would be. The first half of the show Dennis seemed like he was reading his jokes from papers on a podium. It almost felt as though I was in a lecture by a college professor - albeit funnier. The other caveat is that the show was really, really short. We spent $80 a ticket for mid-range seats, and the show only lasted an hour - tops. I was expecting at least an hour and a half. If I knew it was only an hour, I don't know if I would have spent $160 on two tickets.
Even though Dennis Miller is one of my favorite comedians, it was too short and quirky to be as enjoyable as normal.

Dennis hit the stage promptly at 8 and proceeded to work through his notes at podium sitting at center stage. What seemed to be a slow start to the event by his constant referral to his notes started to snowball into a laugh filled rant on current events with a twist toward the political side of things. As expected the crowd was blasted with quirky off beat references to show the general lack of common sense in today's society. What wasn't expected was the fact that promptly 9, he ended his set and started what was a short encore and the crowd was dismissed before 9:15. While the addage of 'leaving them wanting more' comes to mind, I felt that a little more time onstage would not have been too much to ask.
