Great event!!! First time we buy tickets for a college NCAA game and the experience was incredible. They even upgraded our seats (free of charge) to a lower level.

MSG was easily assessable from the Path rail system from Hoboken ,NJ. The Garden was a very nice venue, I would delicately be back. Event was a little pricy for a college hoops game. But what is not pricy in NY?

Seats were great, staff was very accomodating. One negative would be how quickly the ushers wanted us out of the building as soon as the event was over. All and all, my first trip to MSG was a success! GO BLUE!!!!!

Great to see collegs bb in Msg. we were close enough to see all the action, at a reasonable price.
renovated msg is beautiful. Food is good, no need to eat before game, and the ladies rooom was very large and very clean

Games were so-so since both games became blowouts. Tickets for this event are way too expensive. Since there are so many visitors to NYC during this time. the NIT and MSG should make these tickets more affordable so they'd get more people to the games. More than half the Garden was empty.

This is always a fun event, but the newly renovated MSG is the big surprise. Not only is the place spotless, but the upgraded food concessions (Carnegie Deli, Hill Country BBQ, Jean Jacques, etc.) are a fabulous improvement.

We have been to MSG several times for the NIT tournament, we make it a family event most every year. We are a huge basketball family and my girls love it!!!!! Please continue to host this event we love travelling to NYC for it!!

As a long-time basketball fan, I attended my first NIT Season Tip-Off, going to both the semifinals and championship day events, as well.
While I was intensely disappointed that Tennessee won the event (not a Vols fan, obviously), I saw four games of good Division 1 college basketball, including the opportunity to see UCLA play for probably the only time in my life.
The Madison Square Garden staff, in my opinion, is the friendliest group of people I've ever dealt with at such a venue and deserved to be commended, as well.
Prices are expensive ($10 for a pretzel and an iced tea) but it's Madison Square Garden and New York City. What do you expect?
Overall, I enjoyed it so much that I'm already getting tickets for more college basketball events at MSG.

The Finals of the Tip Off were some great college basketball. Got to see a VCU team that could take the SOCON this year and show up in March, and a rebuilding UCLA Bruin team in the 3rd place game. As usual for the Tip Off, I sit in the risers, this time on the Visitor's end. VCU's Pep Band was very good, played a lot of rock n roll and were led by a very spirited band leader. Also, gotta send them their picture of "bally" on Andy Katz' lap top.
The Tip Off finale featured Jay Wright's Villanova Wildcats and Bruce Pearl's Tennessee Volunteers. This game was awesome as the ranked Nova dropped to the size of the Vols. Even though Pearl is going through some major turbulence in his career because of a backyard barbecue, his team played with fluidity and was able to get to the hole easily. They also played stellar defense.
The Tip Off is an excellent event for College Hoops fans as the teams participating change yearly and you are usually set to see some great schools. Like last year's matchup of Duke and UConn in the finals.

Due to the lack of attendance at MSG (not to mention no alcohol sales), the event was disappointing. It wasn't very enjoyable to watch college basketball in an empty arena. Please consider reducing ticket prices or giving tickets to charity.
