Favorite moment: So many to choose from but I think their choice of playing Limo Wreck and 4th of July was the most surprising and appreciated moments of the night. @

The Soundgarden concert on July 16th in Chicago showed that the foursome has knocked the rust off of their game. I saw Garden at Lollapalooza last August and, while they were good, they had a lot of kinks to work out. Saturday's career-spanning show at the UIC Pavillion showed that they have got their A game back. Garden opened with Searching With My Good Eye Closed and the concert was stellar from then on. The only downside is that Chris Cornell can't quite reach the high end of his vocal range anymore, and the screams that was characteristic of some of Soungarden's early hits weren't there during the concert. I give him a pass on that. Kim Thayil was rocking as usual and Matt Cameron is one of the most underrated drummers in the business today. They played all the hits and more. Chris commented that they had lots of new stuff to play but they would only be doing pre-1997 stuff at the concert. Can't argue with him on that decision.

Tabernacle acoustics sound so good! Chris Cornell's voice is great and the show was freaking good! Only complaint was that they did not play Black Hole Sun and Rusty Cage...pretty pissed off about that!

Have been waiting a long time to see Soundgarden and it was well worth it. They sounded just as good as they did twenty years ago. Also Stage AE, outside was a perfect venue.

Chris Cornell's voice was incredible, one of the best voices in rock, without a doubt. Kim was so good he made it look easy and Ben and Matt were totally in sync. Great song selections and the new songs were well done. They jammed for almost 2 1/2 hours, which made up for the fact they came out late. They more than made up for it. I wish they would have sold t-shirts inside instead of having to buy a bootleg one outside. All in all, an awesome night. Thanks, guys!

There were alot of empty seats and they started 45 minutes late, which kind of sucked. Cornell sounded very good, but was at times was buried beneath the high decibel level of the band. Sometimes I wish that Cornell would put his guitar down more and focus on being a frontman. They played 27 songs over 2+ hours, which included songs from Louder Than Love thru King Animal. The energy level of the crowd only picked up during songs like Spoonman, Blackhole Sun, and Outshined. Otherwise, the crowd barely had a pulse, which Cornell commented on several times. It was a very good show overall.

What can I say? The band is amazing every time. Chris Cornell's vocals are unmatched, and the set list included old favorites as well as new releases. I highly recommend seeing this band. They do not disappoint!!

Sound Garden was out standing. They totally rocked out. Ticket prices where a bit too high. The place was empty and it lacked energy, and the band saw it.

Great venue. Great band. Chris' voice was good until
near the end of 2.25 hrs. Some technical issues were
minor until that left stage speaker cracked during the
on chore.

This crew is the hardest working band in metal! They had no opening band (were thirty minutes late in starting but the crowd was late in filing in too for some reason), played for over two hours with no break. They were absolutely fantastic. My only wish? Incorporate some of the AUDIOSLAVE music into the act. Now that would have been the perfect storm!!!

Soundgarden was amazing and we were so close to the stage, maybe I was 10 feet away from Chris and this was general admission too!

The venue was very clean and very nice. Only complaint was the parking lot price, event parking was $10 which I thought was very pricey and I was lucky I had cash on me. I think this should have been noted somewhere and I really did think I would have to pay to park at a state funded University.

The band never missed a beat. Chris Cornell's vocals are absolutely amazing he still has his range after all these years. They played almost their entire greatest hits album plus all of the good songs of their new cd. Overall a great show.

This was the best rock concert I've been to since Foo Foghters back in 2011. Chris Cornell still has golden chords for a rock voice. They belted out every hit they had plus a few new ones from their new album. Stage AE is a great music venue as well!

Soundgarden put on a decent show but didnt sound as polished as i would have liked. I love the studio albums but they didnt come off as good live. The bass player sounded terrible singing back up and playing bass and was way too loud in the mix. I love kims rhythm playing and all the tunings he uses but his solos sounded sloppy live. It was very cold that night which could have accounted for some of the issues.
