Great talent and I could even hear a few people. Grace Potter, Mavis Staples, Joe Walsh and a few others. But the mix was TERRIBLE. The lead instrument throughout was the KICK DRUM that shook the hall. It obscured everything when it hit like a depth charge. This was SUPPOSED to be in honor of Levon's barn events even though it was held in an arena. The mixer did a TERRIBLE JOB by pumping up the kick drum as if this was a STADIUM ROCK SHOW. IT WASN'T! He also gave us a CAR STEREO MIX: all treble and bass, no midrange. THIS WAS A FOLK MUSIC SHOW but you couldn't make out voices, just sibilants. When My Morning Jacket arrived it got MUCH better. I BET they brought their own mixer in, or gave the lame brain doing the mix specific instructions because suddenly there was midrange and the drums were properly placed in the mix...otherwise it was unlistenable and we ended up leaving because we couldn't hear much other than that friggin' kick drum. OH and the signage for getting into the Izod arena is TERRIBLE.
