This was an event I will never forget. The Bach was a treat, with a great combination of instruments to catch all the subtlety of the piece, and a good preparation for being overwhelmed by Smetana (although it's impossible to consider Bach as an opening act). The Smetana went so far beyond any musical experience I have had that it's difficult to describe. The pianists were brilliant and their coordinated playing incredible. Each piece touched me differently but with equal impact. Each was equally moving, breathtaking, emotionally charged. It was an unequaled experience. It should be repeated - frequently. Don't put this music back on the shelf.
