My girlfriend and I went to NYC for New Years Eve. However, the night before (12/30) we attended a Broadway show and followed it up with what was supposed to be an excellent show by Ada Dyer & The "A" Band.

Let me start by saying the band was quite good. However, Ada Dyer was horrific. We are unsure whether she was drunk, on drugs or both. She was clearly on something. She fell on stage twice, forgot the words to the songs, and screeched rather than sang most songs.

At one point she even had the audacity to tell the crowd that she was embarrassed and we deserved to have our money refunded. She apologized at least 20 times during the short 1 hour show.

The club was nice with pretty good food and drink. We were disappointed however with Ada and the A band. First if all it was billed as R&B, Motown and Soul, which they reslly didnt play that at all. The band was so loud that we could hardly hear Ada singing, it seemed like she was screaming over them. Also she didn't seem to know the words to the songs which went on for so long that we forgot what the song even was. All and all not what we were expecting and we were disappointed.
