I've seen this show in a number of different venues across the country. The sound was just mismanaged at this venue. I don't know who was responsible, but it was disappointing. The introduction to Refused's set is supposed to be fairly dramatic and well thought out. At the Fillmore, it just got mangled to the point of deflation.
On the plus side, Refused is still a great band. Their timing is impeccable, and you can tell they put a lot of thought into the show. I've seen Refused in large venues and tiny venues, and it doesn't matter what kind of equipment they're playing through or how broken the venue's sound system is. They will always put on a great live show.
Off's performance left a bit to be desired, but I appreciate Refused's choices to take the people and bands that mean a lot to them out on the road with them.
